Here at Broken Line Studios, we are strong at work making a mod that will allow you to playout your space-farring Haloic fantasies within the Homeworld 2 engine.
Imagine fighting for your races survival as the always brave United Nations Space Corps Defense Force (or UNSCDF for short.) or overpowering your foes as the dreaded Covenant. Relive key battles in the Halo-universe. Battle above Reach, Earth (First and Second Battle) Installation 04, Harvest and more!
We are proud to bring you this (in development) Total-Conversion mod for Homeworld 2. Replacing the boring Vaygr and Hiigarian with the UNSCDF and the Covenant.
Feel free to show us your support by joining our forums and telling us what you think!

Welcome to the Summer update of Halo Homefront. This month we will be showing you a couple of things which make us very proud and we hope you enjoy them as much as we liked making them!
You remember almost a year ago, we showed you HHF's Assault Carrier, untextured in all its purple glory. But now, thanks to the hard work of Blamtroid from Halo Covenant at War, we have 5km of the sexiest ship that the covenant can offer:
Thank you so much for your work Blamtroid!
The Reaper, it was in the last update, remember that? It was only 2 months ago...
Anyway, here is our SECOND textured Covenant ship, the Covenant Reaper!
See a pattern coming on here :P
Here is something we are very proud of. Remember our map inside the Forerunner star forge? Then we showed our Unyielding Hierophant model to be used in the background of a map? See where I'm going with this? Probably not.
Here is the second map we have created for Halo Homefront!
Yes that's right! This map will be fought inside Halo, complete with Basis and Threshold in the background. The ring itself will be too large to fit into a single map, so you will be fighting this fight on several maps. One you will start in the centre, another you will start quite close to the side, and one near basis, with Halo spinning in the background
A message from the Broken Line Studios leader himself, the main Broken Line Studios.net site will be going through some changes:
The BLS site will be undergoing some work to improve both front and back end workings. Planned changes you can expect to see are:
- A main BLS page about BLS as an organisation, along with a main BLS forum that will act as the public hub. There will also be seperate project pages which will include news and media for the specific project, such as an exclusive HHF page that features a halo themed skin, and coming at some point in the future, another for our next project.
- Special team only sections that will be stream lined and optimised to increase the productivity of our happy strong china........BLS teams. You won't see them, but hopefully you'll benefit from the results of better organisation.
- Higher reliance on hosting on the BLS site it's self, rather than third party hosting such as photobucket, imageshack, youtube and filefront. Our VERY generous provider, Hyper, provided us with an extremely, almost saintly deal for the BLS site, which up until now we haven't taken advantage of, but hopefully you guys out there will start to see improvements such as centralised and reliable download sections aswell as theoreticly better download and loading speeds for BLS now that we've decided to use our resources properly.
- Although technically not a site improvement, some reforms to the management of BLS it's self should also trickle through, including more frequent updates of HHF and continued quality with future releases.
Don't expect these changes to take effect tonight, with alot of our members currently on holiday we'll be testing and playing around with stuff before it's released, although hopefully you'll get a nice preview of the HHF homepage in the next week.
What this means for you:
For the most part, more info, screenshots, renders and so forth will be available from brokenlinestudios.net, so you hardcore fans can really benefit from joining the site. You can even join the forums and talk to the team themselves, we are more then happy to answer any questions about HHF or you can just try and test our knowledge, don't worry, we don't bite ;D
Much Love,
OJ

i have a question about the Halcyon-class cruiser will it be like a normal Halcyon or will it be the special refitted one for the Spartans mission? the book said that the original Halcyons were slow and had only a few (i think six) archer missile bays and one mac cannon. But the Pillar Of Autumn had at least 700 archer missiles and an advanced Mac system that could fire 3 shots in one charge. Will there be only one type of Halcyon or will there also be a refitted version or both?
We are planning on including both, the refitted will be extremely expensive, but both versions will have an insane amount of health.
It would be interesting if you instead had the refitted Halcyon as a module or something, instead of a totally seperate ship. Maybe using something like a SPARTAN II Program research or something that unlocks a bunch of new stuff, not just a refitted Halcyon.
But that's just my 2 cents.
yay
By the way, is there gonna be a nova bomb?
What you really need is a new trailer for us just to entice us even more.
I really love this mod i really wish it was out. When is going to be the first release of this game?
Destroyers and frigates will both make an appearance. However the Halowars basis is unconfirmable as we have a dislike of Halowars as a reference, and prefer our own in-house art to base work on.
so uve got ur own or u are designing ur own frigate or destroyer models?, if so then i bet they'll be ace like all the the other models :)
Yes.
