Well, I just tried out Beta's version of the mod so far, and I'm quite impressed seeing this stuff in game so far.

He has quite a few models in game so far, the Destroyer, Halcyon [Built around the PoA at the moment] Longsword, Pelicans, Banshees [I don't know why those are in there though], and Phantoms, how ever I wasn't surprised to find the textures on all but the destroyer a bit bugged.

The destroyer is nearly fulled rigged weapon wise, with 26 archers and a nuke launcher, the MAC didn't seem to work how ever and the nukes seem to have been mixed up with the archers damage wise, but the massive swarm of missles mushrooming off the hull of a enemy ship is pleasing

Oh, and following a longsword squad around as they gracefully glide past the PoA brings back awsome memories of getting Halo for the first time, and watching the Autumn's last stand

Like I said, despite the very unfinished buggy appearance of it, with a little imagination it's looking perfect so far.

Or will you put the UNSC and the cov on equal footing? It would be cool to have the cov ships cost so much that you could only make a few at a time but then you would only have about 6 or 7 ships for a while. One of the things that you might want to incorporate into the game is the cov space yards. Basically asteroids just a thought.

Balancing is a constantly changing challenge for this mod. We have basic ideas of how to balance them, but how extensively? we don't know, as we don't have most of the game together

i see, well the cov ships are 10x stronger than the UNCS which is why they were losing so badly. Will you be able to build alot of ships for the UNSC or just the ones that are in existance or will you be able to make a grand fleet? If you have any questions about the books or anything then just ask me i have read them 250 times! lol

yea... any textures ship pictures are not from in game... and those odd boxes with the metal texture are not game models... so dont worry about those...

I am still working on texture tests... velo Ill get you and NT some tests to put some (somewhat) textured ships if you want? (ill give em to you tonight).. or tomorrow morning for you.... as I dont know if i add or subtract hours for your timezone :P

We have no real Beta yet, we have a few internal (team and trusted member only) alphas which are basicly just show casing some unskinned ships in game

Once we have a proper public beta or release, you fans will be the first to know ^^
