(buried)

Please. No more fannon! Isn't Marathon, Halcyon, Frigate, Destroyer, Longsword, Pelican enough??? Why ruin it?

What kind of small-minded outcry is that Webzlinger? Besides, minus the Atlas, I really like the concepts. I'll be looking forward to seeing them modeled.

I'm not a big fan of fannon ships, either, but they're going to be in game. You don't have to build them if you want the AUTHENTIC HALO EXPERIENCE.

It's not very easy to make a very balanced game with only the original ships and leaves much to be desired. Personally I think these look fantastic.

Me too. It is very high quality and updates rather quickly, more than enough candy to get me following it around till the release.

Well, gotta admit Velo, they look great. They still manage to have a UNSC look about them even though you obviously expanded the designs artistically.

I really like these, especially the Talos and Hecate. The Atlas I'm a bit less enthusiastic about, it has more of an EVE Online look about it, but I am prepared to be pleasantly surprised. The Charon I also like, but IMO, perhaps the nose section could be more truncated, like that of the Talos, just to give it a more recognizable silhouette (I've always thought carriers should be more flattened on the whole than the cruisers, but that's really just my aesthetics than anything else.)
These are really great concepts.

I was worried that the atlas would come accross as more EVE-y than UNSC, so i'll work on that.

I'm not too happy with the Charon's nose either, but more due to the fact it looks like a marathon because of it, if you look on the blog it originally didn't have a block nose but that design didn't look very good either.

I'm still going to play around with them as i do some more.

It's likely just distorted proportions from the drawing, I doubt he meant to change it in any significant way.

There's no big change, but i didn't pay much attention to it as it's just there to be there.

cool can we put names on the sides of the ships for example heart of midlothian or forward unto dawn or even better pillar of autumn

Nope. I'm aware the rearm mod does it, but we have no plans to right now.

okay all of them but the atals look somethig like what the unsc make however remember that the unsc ships are all made to still work when about 50%-80% of their hull is gone

this was supposed to be a lone comment not a reply i am sorry about that and ragod does have a good point though

Description

Some concepts for UNSC ships. Along the top you have the familiars, they're on a higher plane than the rest so don't worry that they appear bigger.

The Charon is a light carrier the size of the marathon (rather than 3km long).

The Talos is a light escort cruiser that has the fire power of a marathon but less bulk and thus higher speed and handling.

The Atlas is a freighter. The size is a big large in the picture, it'll likely be smaller.

The Hecate is a light cruiser that'll be mainly armed with smaller weaponry for dealing with multiple targets.

More to come.
