Lisvania,

You do also realize that Halcyon-class Cruisers DO in fact carry longswords?

In fact every ships in the Halo-verse has, if nothing else, a small hangar holding a small compliment of Pelicans and Longswords, to help in thier personal defense against fighters.

But realistically, in this picture it doesn't matter, since any battlegroup would have a Longsword defense.

in the halo-verse the pillar of autumn has 3 longswords and 3 pelicans
E419 and 2 other which were destroyed when reach was attacked
but in halo the game we see atleast 3 downed pelicans
but that was 1 bay and the other bay was coverted into a missle bay full of probly several hundred missles
and if those bays are the size we see at the end of The Maw in halo 1 then id say that many fighters could be possible with 2 bays on each halcyon

Eh? 2 bays? Wha about Cortana saying "Theres one longsword still docked in launch bay 7" Meaning there are at least 7 launch bays

A Halcyon-class Cruiser has only one squadron of C709 Longsword Interceptors... That is like what you'd expect from a Carrier amount of Longsword's wise.

Now continuing with the Destroyer it does look great but i just don't see the OVERSIZED Archer pods

lisvania archer pods are built into the hull
and u can only see the holes the missles launch from like 20 metres away
keyes only sees the missle pods on the autumns bay when he looks at the hull closely

Look at the render of the destroyer on it's own, you'll see the archers quite clearly..And remember, these are just textureless renders, we have no texture artist and there's only so much i can do model wise with details..

The longswords are just for effect, and anyway, remember fleets usualy engage over planets [UNSC fleets atleast] which will also have their own garrison of longswords which would be put under command of the fleet upon arrival

The entire scene would look rather bland with just 6-10 longswords

You could always just use the devil's ways when it comes to textures... o_O

I think the front of the halcyon needs to be raised.

to help settle what looks like an old dispute, halcyons have 2 hanger bays, each capable of carrying 5 longswords and 3 pelicans. destroyers have a very smallhangar with only 2 -3 pelicans, no londswords. and finally the front of the halcyon looks fine to me. just like halo ce

Eh? if The Maw is anything to go by (which it is) and if you are making longswords into squadrons of six (which you seem to be) then I'd say a halcyon class could carry at least4 squadrons

If you look at the model of the longsword hangar bay and the PoA, the PoA would have a massive bunch of hollow areas and gaping holes for hangars on the outside if it held anywhere near that many.

Also, we see 3-4 longswords flying by the Autumn when we first see her, she used one at Reach and it was destroyed, and cortana her self says there's only ONE left still on the autumn during the maw, so at max there's 5-6 longsword onboard the autumn in total.

We're also using squadrans of either 2 or 3, not 6.

it's possible they did not have their full compliment of fighters

Possible, but improbable, the ship was pretty much completely prepared for it's mission, it's unlikely they'd give it anything but a full compliment, infact i wouldn't be suprised if they loaded it with more longswords than the average ship would be allocated.

i was judging by the books say. i think bungie went overboard on scale on the maw to make the level bigger

It's funny...Cause it was modeled right next to the one from the game...It's just as big in every way. Only the newer version i've done is longer because i hadded about 3 buffer sections to make the shape look less like a pyramid from the side.
