Our representation of Halo's iconic space combat in the Homeworld 2 engine, which puts the player in command of some of the most powerful weapons fielded by the UNSC and Covenant and to provide a balanced and competitive experience.
Took a break from the Covenant real quick to touch up on the UNSC since they've been asking for it for a while.
Made some tweaks to the Manufactury, aka giving it proper ambient occlusion maps and changing the specular/gloss levels to par with my most recent texture changes.
Scaffold received the biggest overhaul, though. It's not a flamboyant blue anymore, it's more of a UNSC drab style blue metal. With team colors.
CH-53 sea stallion tribute?
Anyway what i would like to see are the two UNSC ships who have the old pattern with the new texture.

And yeah I would like to do the Hermes and Orthrus, but this was much faster. They're still on my to-do list.
In the campaign they aren't two symmetric structures single or i'm wrong?
Yeah they're detached in the campaign but they seemed to come in pairs fairly often. We attached them together to help hide the pop in when the ship is finished.
Just a dumb question: would it be possible to make a build animation ? Like seeing the ship being built or something. I think I'm dreaming, but meh... :)
HW2 does not support build animations in the way you're thinking of. Through coding you can trigger an animation to play when something is being built, but that's only good for something like what the B5 mod did: have a ship appear from FTL next to the build capable ship.
I see... Old engines are somewhat limited in terms of animations... The Battlefield 2 engine has crappy animations too.
it's not that the animations are crappy, they just aren't supported.
That shipyard is very classy.
