Familiar faces news - Halo: Fleet Command mod for Nexus: The Jupiter Incident

Hello everyone,

It has been a very productive month again. Which is of course a nice change. I’ve once again found the relaxation in modding. Which is really nice. Anyway, on with the actual work.

First off, here’s something I hadn’t finished previous update, but it’s done now. The Apoc class Frigate under construction. Fully modeled and textured, this baby fits nicely in a drydock.

Another piece that’s finally been finished is the CDJ class Destroyer. I showed the model two updates ago. I’d like to again thank Velo for creating this model for me. I’ve given it a basic texture for now, I’ll redo this after a first version is released with all models in it.

Now there’s also new stuff to show you all. First up; the Taurus class Frigate. Designed to be faster but slightly lesser armed then the Apoc class Frigate, the Taurus is definitely build for speed. Its sleaker design, and more powerful engines make this ship more capable of dodging enemy fire.

Another new ship is one you’ll all probably recognize; it’s the Covenant CVP class Corvette seen in Halo: Reach. Because I still think the ring at the bottom of this ship is rather weird I decided to make some variants and see what it’ll look like. Please let me know what you all think of this. I'm very lucky that 880Zero is helping me with this by making a good skin for it. Expect that next update.

Till now you’ve all seen everything that’s gotten into my mod, however, since I’m not really a concept drawer myself, most of the times I just start modeling what’s in my head and sometimes it works, sometimes it’s just crap. So just because I don’t release much doesn’t mean I’m not doing anything. Anyway, I decided to show you all some of my “concept art”. These are all ships and stations that I made but that won’t be appearing in the mod because I don’t like them.

I have just one more small thing to show you. Another reason as to why I’ve not made a lot of progress for the past two updates was because I was working on another personal project. I’ve currently moved it a little more to the background, but thought I’d show you all anyway.

Now, I hope all this makes up a little for my lack of speedy updates lately. I hope I can keep up this speed. If I can, I should have the remaining models done rather soon. I'd also like to thank Erin for sending me a sample of her voice for voice acting. Though there's still so much to be done, its nice to have some people willing to help out.
