Basically what this is, is a total conversion of Halo to Killing Floor. Everything here and intended to be will act and look exactly like they do in Halo. This is a somewhat big project but won't be too much of a hassle once I get the proper team members

A. I was playing Halo CE and got tired of the shotty terrible netcode and the inability to customize your server without external apps

Hello, I just wanted to update everyone that this project hasn't really stopped completely but the main reason it's slowed down is because I'm basically doing this alone, this isn't so much a bad thing but I've recently run into a issue that pretty much requires a mapper this is due to the fact that in order to port the maps 1/1 I use a static mesh for the level but sadly this comes with very bad lighting issues (Bleeding, poor rendering).
I've done by best to fix this issue and my last hope was the use of UV2Texture to port the Halo lightmaps unfortunatly this failed because for some reason the lightmap mesh and the main map mesh are different so it doesn't allow me to copy UVW maps and any method I found that worked with the UVW ended up with the UVWs not matching.
Other than those hurdles I've been working on the assets and code off and on over the past few months. I've got some pretty interesting stuff worked up but otherwise until the map issue is fixed there most likely won't be a public beta but a closed alpha is definatly on it's way.
A public alpha will be ready soon-ish for everyone to try out, more details are inside.

Hi there, I know it's been a while - just curious if you will still be doing this? Looking at the Grindhouse entries, there have been heaps of interest from people making custom maps - many first timers who have been able to make amazingly good ones too. I seriously doubt you would have any trouble finding mappers to help you with this if you decide to go ahead with it.
I'm currently in a limbo between KF2 and KF as KF2 is more barebone and would require me to code up alot of base things such as vehicles, flags, etc, while KF has all of it built in with old UT2004 code
why not just use udk or unreal 3 then? why killing floor? such a drastic change
UDK is too bare bone, I wanted to change to UT2004 but I'd have to start over from scratch as none of the code and resources will work with UT2004

Huh? A mod for a game that isn't released yet? Is that even possible? o.o
It's on hold until the game is in Early Access, but I can theoretically start the assets as KF2 has the same format as the UE3 editor
Pretty sure that wouldn't be allowed due to copyright. I understand the need to make money through Early Access but if you want to make games via that then it would have to be original content or at least given permission from 343i.
Also you claim to have moved to UE3 but you haven't moved the page or even tried to link to the new UE3 page with the game.
Copyright is not an issue, this has been checked into multiple times (The assets are free to use and are not ripped from the game), I was not talking early access for this, I was talking about early access for KF2 and finally I have moved to UE3, Killing Floor 2 uses a heavily modified version of Unreal Engine 3
