Covenant at War is a Halo Total Conversion for Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces Of Corruption replacing the Rebels with the UNSC, the Empire with the Covenant
and the Consortium with the Flood as playable factions, and adding the Forerunners (Sentinels) and the Insurrectionists (United Rebel Front)
as non-playable Factions.

Featuring more than 50 well-known units from the Halo-Universe, and with many more playable units at your disposal
you can replay every fight from the books or the games or simply fight your way. Unleashing each factions unique powers upon your opponent.
With redesigned shaders and all-new effects each battle you fight will show you just what the Alamo engine can do.

Your strategy is unlimited. Attack from anywhere, at anytime.


But there isn't only ground combat. For the first time you can take the Human-Covenant War into space. Fight for survival as the UNSC, conduct a war on heresy as The Covenant or consume the galaxy as The Flood.

Fight on your own in skirmish, take the fight online with multiplayer support or battle for control in galactic conquest.

The June patch has been released, it doesn't require any previous CaW releases for it to work. This release is SPACE SKIRMISH ONLY, you'll get all kinds of weird bugs if you try and play galactic conquest.

Covenant at War - 1.2

Installation Instructions

1. If you have installed any previous versions of CaW, uninstall them (delete them from Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\mods).

2. Once downloaded, open the .zip archive CaW.zip (easily done with winrar: Rarlab.com )

3. In CaW.zip you will find a folder called CaW, extract this folder to your Forces of corruption mod folder, which should be something like this: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\Mods

4. Download the EaW/FoC Mod Launcher, which you can find here: Empireatwar.filefront.com , run it, select CaW and hit start.

Changelog

UNSC:
- New UNSC Charon and Paris Frigates
- New MAC projectile
- UNSC AI will now fire MAC cannons correctly
- UNSC SMAC Platform added
- UNSC Prowler space mines now explode like proximity mines (extremely hand against corvettes and fighters)
- Added more resource upgrades

Covenant:
- Added Covenant SDC Corvette
- New Covenant Light Cruiser
- New Covenant Destroyer
- New Covenant Assault Carrier
- Added upgradeable ship system

General:
- Several performance optimizations, including:
* LoD models for a few ships and projectiles
* Most reworked models from the above lists are significantly lower poly
- Countless balancing tweaks, you'll find the game plays quite differently to the last version

Upgradeable ships?

That's right, several Covenant ships can now be upgraded on the go in skirmish simply by clicking the ship you want to upgrade and selecting the desired upgrade. At the moment the ships only have generic upgrades that improve/add more weapons, and boost shield strength, but over the course of the next few months we will be adding in many unique upgrade paths that will give you some serious fleet customization options.

Apex Studios Update 21/06/2013

The only ships currently using the system are:
- Picket ship
- SDV Corvette
- Light Cruiser
- Destroyer

SMAC Platforms

These are a game-changing addition in the UNSC's fight against the Covenant, SMAC platforms are long range turrets that can be built anywhere on the map. They can be used to take out large chunks of an oncoming fleet before it can get anywhere near you, but be careful of the Covenant's in-system slipspace ability, if you don't pay attention a whole fleet could easily slip straight into your SMAC cluster and take it down.

If you don't mind me asking, is this mod still under development, or is it dead now? I love this mod and the idea of a Halo overhaul to this game, as it is one of my favourite RTS games, however I haven't played in quite a while and I'm unsure if there is still as strong of a modding community for this game as there was the last time I played.

We are still here and we intend to keep creating content for the mod. But due to obligations outside of the mod, most of us have very little time to make big changes. So for both you and us, patience is virtue :)

You guys should really be able to combine the halo campaign commander with your mod, then you could skip a very big part of the ground combat.

They had discussed this at one point with farseer but both teams have creative differences and wish to take the mods in separate directions. In the long run this works better for us fans because we will get to have two different experiences to play in the halo universe.

Okay, so i completely remove all my SWEAW files from the steam, re-downloaded it all again and now it works. Soo, not sure where the problem was, but this kinda solved it.

Hi, does anyone know how to launch this mod with Steam version of Empire at War: FOC? The standard magic words "MODPATH=Mods\CaW" does not seems to work and only launch the default FOC. I tried the mod launchers, which none of them works and also the .bat file that returns standard Error 5:00000065434.

The weird part, at least for me, is that the mod wont launch even if i rewrite the original FOC data file, which usually works as a last resort thing.

Any pointers?

Sorry for the very late reply. In the download description, there is another link for a .batch file. Download it, and put it in your foc folder (not the mods folder), and run it.

That's probably your problem, the game is pirated. On the other hand try downloading this: Mega.co.nz

Run it in your eaw foc file

If that doesn't work, does the game even work for you?

Some things have been cleared up, but my score stays the same, great work so far and hope to see some updates because im having a blast with all my CCS cruisers xD. Just wish i could see it in all of its beauty without those bugs.

A 5 because the space part of the game is fantastic. However this mod is half done with still having star wars heroes and land forces.
