Description
This is just a close up of the bomb projectile that the Longsword drops. I'm attempting to show the level of detail and care that I'm putting into this mod...hopefully you all feel I'm reaching that goal. And yes, this model does have a shadow mesh...the bomb will cast a shadow...it's the little details that count.
Nice. Sort of reminds me of the weapons drop pods you'd see in Halo 3.
I'd never made that connection but they do look almost EXACTLY like them...even the little red light on the top. Maybe it was a sub-conscious design choice... lol. And here I thought I was being all cool and designing something custom for the Halo universe... Fail. lol
I like it, it seems to fit with the longsword very well... heh heh heh, I can see 100 longswords doing a bombing run at once >:D
Only 3 at a time :) But trust me, it's a nice thing to see. I just implemented the 'sonic boom' sound effect yesterday for them...it's awesome :)
Cool! :D Why is the grunt there white?
He's an Ultra. White is the highest rank for Grunts. They didn't appear until Halo 2 but have been in every Halo since. Grunt colors are:
Orange: Minor
Red: Major
White: Ultra. In the books, white Grunts also have some religious significance...as in, they are usually only seen around areas of religious importance to the Covenant. Deacons, I think is what they are called.
Black/Purple: Special Forces
Green: Weapons specialist/Combat engineer
for colour blind people, that must be annoying :D

this may be off topic but if you want to make so you can send odsts to the ground any were than there was a mod that made so you could do that it was called something FX its on the eaw moddb place.

If only the bombs had "Thus, I refute thee!" or "KISS YOUR *** GOODBYE!" on them. That would have made this situation even more hilarious, seeing how you would see it on the Battlecam!
