Here's the full list of changes in this update:

  • Most of the sounds now get lower pitch when you go into slowmotion, which creates illusion of sounds also being slowed down.
  • MP5 and Glock are now less accurate in general.
  • Health more than 100 (like when using infinite health door glitch) will be shown on hud.
  • Satchels and handgrenades now can be destroyed only by player's shots, to avoid frustration of headcrabs jumping and destroying your grenade etc.
  • Punchangle (recoil effect) for some weapons now will affect your actual accuracy (especially noticeable on revolver).

  • Lowered the cost of diving from 20 to 10.
  • Now there's a brief moment of getting up when you land on the ground after diving.
  • Now you won't be able to dive if you don't have enough slowmotion charge (which is 10).
  • Disabled punchangle when diving.

  • Added hud_autoswitch cvar which can turn on and off weapon autoswitching when you pick them up.
  • Because of hud_autoswitch, some of the weapon icons not appearing when you pick the weapons was fixed (crowbar, pistol).

  • End screen for BMM became much more informative, including real time counting and additional statistics.
  • BMM personal bests are now automatically stored in bmm_records directory.
  • Cheating in Black Mesa Minute won't let you to save Personal Bests.
  • Inflicting damage to Gonarch now gives you 10 seconds in BMM.
  • Killing baby headcrabs is now counted.
  • Destroying Nihilanth's healing crystals now gives you 10 seconds in BMM.
  • Tweaked world positioning of BMM added time HUD notifications.
  • BMM added time HUD notifications are now bound to absolute time and won't disappear annoyingly slower when you use slowmotion.
  • Reloading the game after dying in Black Mesa Minute by clicking the mouse button will actually restart the game instead of kicking you out in main menu.

  • Added [timerpause] and [timerresume] sections for BMM config files, BMM timer now can be paused and resumed by utilising these sections. Learn more about them in bmm_cfg/_README.txt
  • Added [name] section for BMM - to show it up on end screen.
  • Added [entityspawn] section in BMM config files, where you can dynamically inject entities in any map. Learn more about this in bmm_cfg/_README.
  • Added [mods] section for BMM config files, you can affect difficulty of the game and other things. Try instagib mod! Learn more about mods in bmm_cfg/_README.
  • You can now specify item count in [loadout] section in BMM config files. Learn more about this in bmm_cfg/_README.
  • You can now write trailing comments in BMM config files.
  • BMM won't launch now if entity names are spelled incorrectly to prevent potential crashes.
  • Added print_aim_coordinates cvar to assist in getting coordinates for [entityspawn] BMM config file section.
  • Added print_model_indexes cvar to assist in getting model indexes of triggers supported by BMM config files.

  • Fixed player dying when close to the dying enemy and while riding func_train, though this still might happen in rare cases.
  • Fixed being able to instantly reload the game after dying, which might be frustrating.
  • Fixed [loadout] section being parsed only when it's declared at the end of BMM config file.
  • Fixed player jitter when reloading or restarting the game when the player was previously in diving state.
  • Fixed being able to grab the ladder when diving.
  • Fixed infinite slowmotion cheat not carrying on the level changes.

Think I'm mostly done with basic gameplay and Black Mesa Minute now, that means the next update definetely must include new content like models and sounds, this also means Max's commentary on various game situations. I also plan making on some new weapons like dual pistols or Ingrams (no idea how they'd end up in Black Mesa), when there will be models for that ofcourse.

With additions of timer pausing and resuming in Black Mesa Minute, the gamemode became much more fair and now it's totally possible to complete Black Mesa Minute Hardcore, hope someone will post this on YouTube someday.

When you ask people about what Max's commentary to include, the first thing you usually think is taking painkillers. But I'd go further with implementing reactions to more situations like being near death, getting new weapon or even maybe commentating on certain events - I'm already hooking triggers and it'd be possible to assign commentary in dynamic way like with Black Mesa Minute config files. Though this would require some rewriting as such config file reading is only supported by BMM in a semi-hard way now. Rewriting config file reading to make it more flexible would allow for implementing new gamemodes, like Score Attack if I decide to do it, or just be able to include mods like instagib in usual single player.

By the way, Half-Payne source code is now available on GitHub!

Seems like the mod got featured in ModDB monthly, which is defintely cool.

If you'd like to support this mod, the best way would be by making videoreviews or let's plays on it, making maps designed for such gameplay, or making Black Mesa Minute configs for already existing maps and mods.

As usual I'm open to all suggestions and support.
