Basically Valve never gave an explanation as to what happend to make the previous military installation become black mesa. All of our mod members decided to create a prequel and explain how all of it happend, what caused it and what happend before black mesa. Gerald Freeman, demolitions foreman at Black Mesa Military Installation, was running late for work this fateful day. A large rumble across the ground as he reached his demolition site. Screams and gunfire filling the air as he rushed forward. Panic and havoc being spread quickly throughout the installation.
