First off, here's a trailer for you guys:


(There seems to be no glowing during the gameplay transitions :/ oh well.)

So next week is the release for HL:R, and the game is getting polished and what not for the community. Also I've been setting the website up to have a section for updates, patches, and addons to customizes the sounds and the models. These will all be in installers that will put everything in the correct folders so making it easier to add files.

And what of the future you scream at me scaring the neighbors dog. Well, version 4 is a possibility. And my current Goldsrc project that I haven't talked about is getting more skilled in map making so Re-making maps for version 4 can be a reality. But that might be another year or two down the road. well thats all I got on my mind to say about the mod at the moment.

Also I just to thank all the many people who helped me with this mod!! I've listed all the people who helped, and your names will be in the readme, and in the gui menu. But again, thanks for the help!!

EDIT (MARCH 2012):
I am currently working on the 3.1 patch. I will try to fix any problems that people have been having.
Also, does anyone know the code to add hl2 lazy weapons? If so, please drop me a PM.

I got more work done for the 3.1 patch. On the website I said that 3.1 would be it's own release since it would have problems if it was merged with the base 3.0 release. I also updated to a modified version of Trinity 3.08f, so many bug fixes with the client have been fixed. I've added a few little things to the code, might post a media update soon.

i see what i did wrong, i needed to put the HL_R folder itself inside the HL directory, not dump its contents in it. Thank you thoug!

Ok so this mod is great but I have a slight problem. Whenever I pass a loading zone (or quick load) the game just closes. I don't get any error messages it just takes me back to the steam library. Any help would be appreciated.

Apparently when valve pushed in that steam-pipe update for half-life, it broke some mods, and some renders stopped working. Trinity still worked until some January update broke it finally.
I'm not sure what causes this to crash in the coding. I'm still troubleshooting to see what causes the problem.
The only quick fixes I can think of are to due the follow:
>>Download a version of the Xash engine. (newer versions seem to run this better)
>>Copy the client.dll and hl.dll from an older steam build of half-life, and stick them in the valve folder.
>>download a non-steam half-life, and use it. (this one can have a lot of legal issues if you don't own a copy of Half-Life.)

OH MY GOSH I FIXED IT! Just rename the cl_dlls folder in the HL_R folder to cl_dllsold! You could also delete it, but this is a safer way to do it.
Hope this works for other people! It also speeds up loading entirely.
As for the download, the links don't appear to work at all, and I'm digging around my hard drive for the RAR. ;)
EDIT: Never mind! The link at the very bottom of the header works!
EDIT 2: Actually, this method seems to break some of the effects, but most of them seem to still work.

Nice mod, I really like the idea of full use of detail textures system, and the addition of the HL:Rebirth Engine. Good things: Totally new engine, featuring realistic movements & pain reception (such as ringing ears), adjustable bloom, advanced particle system, shadows, enhanced simple physics, and a totally balanced arsenal wich incudes a new weapon.
