Operation: Firesweep (OFS) is a new upcoming mod for Half-Life. The mod will feature a single player campaign and (maybe) multiplayer capabilities. The player will take on the role of a soldier fighting in the large Black Mesa Research Facility during the same incident Gordon Freeman experienced in Half-Life. Operation: Firesweep will contain many new skins and models. We plan to have at least twenty different Army Marine skins, as well as a large amount of new scientist skins. Our plan is to bring Black Mesa alive around the player, and to show the many walks of life in the facility, from Janitor to Driver to scientist. Operation: Firesweep will bring a totally new single player campaign to bring the experience that the soldiers in Black Mesa experienced. After alot of serious planning and probability predictions, I have decided to announce the opening of Operation: Firesweep 2: Back to the Primitive. The sequel to the Half-Life 1 mod will be built on the Half-Life 2 engine. It will seek to retell the original OFS1 storyline with new maps and twists.

After alot of serious planning and probability predictions, I have decided to announce the opening of Operation: Firesweep 2: Back to the Primitive. The sequel to the Half-Life 1 mod will be built on the Half-Life 2 engine. It will seek to retell the original OFS1 storyline with new maps and twists.

What does this mean for OFS1? Well, OFS1 will continue development until the release of Half-Life 2. The 2nd demo will be released as planned. But, as soon as HL2 is released, I will release a open source version of the mod with all the completed content up till then. Officially, OFS1's development will shut down.

But however, there is alot of content currently completed, so expect a resonably big release before HL2.
So, what are you waiting for, grab the demo and get a taste of OFS!

Perhaps HL² will really postponed for further 6 month by Vivendi, then you'll have a chance to relase the finished mod.
