Hello everyone!
Yes - I have not made an update in a few years.
Yes - Half-Life might never continue.
Yes - blah blah making a mod takes forever blah blah real life blah blah not had much time to work on this blah blah
All the usual excuses you must be used to hearing! But isn't that how every mod goes? :)
I continue to work on this in my (ever decreasing adult) spare time, and the good news is that I am entering the final stages... I started this a long time ago with far too grand a scope than my first mod should have been, but I have pulled on the reins and decided to wrap this up. 30 maps completed, and around 5-6 to go. It will be done! No definitive ETA, but I really need to wrap this up in a few more months, for my own sanity!
In the meantime, here are the last screenshots I will upload, and I hope soon I will see some terrible let's play videos where no one can figure out what to do! (Actually I hope not as I spend a lot of time trying to ensure people cannot break this and I've listened to too many Valve commentaries about how to guide players!)

Thank you! I went from working on this maybe 3-4 or so hours a day a few years ago, to around 2 hours a week at most now! Finishing this will be a huge (self inflicted) burden off my back haha. But I'd rather make sure it is finished properly than rushed. Still - my original plan was to make this maybe 3 times longer than it was... very naive of me.
3 times longer? You mean like 100 maps? :)
Previously it should be about 12 maps.
I'm so happy this is almost ready for release (And I bet you are too).

Glad to see a news update from ya. Yes, we are used to hear these things from developers and yes, I say these things myself in my own updates, but these are not excuses: they are the truth. The truth that gaming development needs dedicated time to be done well in a reasonable timeframe. Time which, as the years go by, is always decreasing.
So trust us when we say we believe you and we'll be here, waiting, and we will trust you that you'll do your best to finish this masterpiece. After all, we, the last GoldSRC developers, are making history at this point, rather than simple mods (it's almost 20 years since Half-Life released!)
So I wish you the very best of luck with both your life, and this mod, and I am eagerly awaiting to roam through Black Mesa once again.
