I wonder though how and why he put his head inside it. Perhaps some Alien grunt that smashed him inside there while he was trying to get the door open? :)

It's the often unused "scicrash" animation :)
I assume it's for a headcrabbed scientist running into a wall, I believe the headcrab model has the same animation to go with it!
Great to see this project is well and kicking. Are you planning to make a progress update anytime soon? I've been dying to know what's happening behind the scenes. And by dying I mean having-my-head-struck-into-a-retinal-scanner way of dying.
I've decided to make no project updates until it is finished. Modding really takes time when you have a full-time job and other responsibilities so instead I'll just focus on making it.
Also, I've probably uploaded too many screen-shots in the past and would like to keep the later maps secret until release.
If you are curious I have about 22 maps finished and good to play :)
A random guess would be about 30 maps in total - but that is entirely a guess!
I can respect that. Keep up the good work, it looks and sounds damn fine so far!
Hey, that's a neat model! Lots of perks to silence. I've even chosen a "don't formally announce until I've got a RC" model. People prefer updates but it really does take more effort to do well than people realize.
