This mod is based on an old nintendo RPG, EarthBound. We are making it into a multiplayer mod, and possibly adding in single player, later on in development. You can explore the whole word of earthbound, fight numerous monsters, and talk to all your friends!

Well HLEB has just released a new Inteam so I thought I'd post some screens. I hope once all of the team gets a hold of it that we can get some more screenshots. Anyways, here they are:
In other news, we have a new modeler: Mr. Victor. So far he has produced a Stun Gun for us!

Other than that, DD has kept up with his usual coding tasks, TheGrimace is animating Paula and Poo and I have been finalizing some of the maps.

I am forced to assume you are "Mr. Satan", because no one else would have called themselves the "leader" of the mod.
If you were the leader of the mod, it would have died YEARS ago, because you were too busy playing some dumbass MMORPG or some bullshit to bother leading the damn mod. Christ, our actual supporters hit the forums 10 times before you ever came to do anything. You were just as useless as AJ when we got rid of you.
All you could ever do is script and make configs pretty much, and we all know how useful that is *cough*
It wouldn't be dead if I was still the leader :/
Anyways though, might start 'er up on HL2
Wow. AJ, I can't believe how much of your post is actually lies. Really, I don't. You think you made the only map that looked good? No, Shadow and DD made awesome looking maps too. I prefered playing on their maps to playing on yours. I don't understand why you listed off literally everything you did for the mod, because your little list is pretty small there man. If you were the only one who knew "anything about earthbound", how come both DD and Shadow played the game, and beat it as far as I know. I'm pretty sure DD knew more about earthbound than you did. Even if you knew everything there was to know, you didn't show it much. You just constantly babbled on about your bullshit opinions, thinking they should automatically go into the game because you came up with the idea. Thats not how it works.
I only "buried" a thread when it was getting out of hand. Most arguements that I "buried" went on in PM's anyway. I just don't think everyone needs to see two differing opinions battling it out. (Yes, I realize were doing that now, but I can't do much to stop it now can I?). If I'm why you left, well, thats your decision to leave, and its not like as soon as you left we fell apart. You were just like one more of the team members that came, did virtually nothing and then left again. Actually afraid to do any real work for the mod.
Being in the "wrong hands"? Well, if we were going it so wrong, why not DO IT YOURSELF. Oh no, thats right, you can't. You just want someone else to make the game for you, EXACTLY how YOU want it, but not do any actual WORK for it.
We all played Earthbound (I don't know where you pulled that lie from). We set up a small video to a song (like it matters what song) to get people hyped about the game. Most people don't find the actual music in the game all that awesome or anything. We were trying to rope in some fans, and get people excited. When making a mod (This is seriously a concept you obviously don't understand) you can't make it *exactly* as the original game was. It just dosn't work that way. You need to make changes. For example, you can't make a multiplayer version of Earthbound in half-life identical to a single player version on SNES, you moron.
You keep talking like you were a huge loss, and i'm the reason you left. No one cares why you left, you didn't do much anyway. You came, you left. End of story. At least the core of the mod had the will to keep going until the very end, unlike your useless self.
Call me what you want. I don't really care, your opinion dosn't matter to me. Believe it or not, your *doing* what your calling me right now. I'll change your bullshit so it fits you.
"Even now you sit on your high throne of ex-mapper/useless-sack-of-shit and spew endless bombastic conceit safely behind your veil of internet anonymity."
Wow. That was hard, I made it fit you pretty good didn't I?

Sorry DD, but you know me. I have to respond to people when they start running their mouths about things they don't really understand. I'll stop once his mouth stops spewing horseshit all over the place.
The mod is dead. The absolute least (any of) you could do is show some respect for the hard work we did and not bicker like children at its grave. AJ, if I cared to argue with you, I'd ask you not to even TRY to compare what you did with what anyone else on the team did. But I'm not, because the project is gone, so it doesn't matter what anyone has to say about it.
I figured we'd all move on and put the skills we learned from this project to use. I guess some of us are unable to do that.
I made the only map that wasn't hideous, I made an animated sprite and a sound, did about half of another map that I never finished, and gave plenty of input that was ignored because it was resembled planning too much. I was the only one who knew much anything about EarthBound and only I had standards worth any respect. I intended to do much, much more than I did, but I didn't stay involved long enough. You ran the site and forum, not afraid to abuse your powers, doing things like burying a thread containing an argument you're losing after giving yourself the last word so that nobody but you can touch it. Whenever it came time for you to do something like giving a new team member a dev journal so he can post progress, you'd resist until finally giving in and spouting off about how it was so unreasonable to ask you to do your job. Your throwing fits like this and general pompous, negative attitude is what I couldn't stand. YOU are why I left. Sure it bothered me that hardly any of you even played EarthBound and that the project was in the wrong hands, and that you would try to set a demo of it to some System of a Down song (nothing could be less appropriate for EarthBound,) but your attitude sealed the deal. After the first 3 days I tried to quit the team and just do freelance but was convinced to stay on, then later I just disappeared for months because you boiled my blood to the point that I'd rather abandon the project than tolerate you anymore, but then I actually came back again. That didn't last long though, you were too much.
I don't have to worry about you banning me anymore so I don't have to hold my tongue anymore. You were a detriment. Even now you sit on your high throne of ex-site/forum administrator and spew endless bombastic conceit safely behind your veil of internet anonymity. Your kind turns my stomach.
Yes, the mod is gone. Shadow vanished roughly a month before the site got toasted if my memory serves. I had a site backup and I was searching for some webhosting I could afford at the time (considering I didnt have a credit card or a job at the time) but I couldn't find anything that was as cheap as oktagone that still had the bandwidth and space the handle the site. Me and DD considered trying to keep it going anyway, but it just went under. We couldn't find Shadow, and I havnt spoken to him since.
As for you AJ, don't start calling me a detriment. I didn't see you investing jack shit into the mod. You came, left some stuff and then took off again. Me, Shadow and DD all tried to do what we could for the mod, and put in alot more than you ever did, so you shut your ignorant hole right now.
Baka.
this was looking interesting?...
I guess the whole website is gone, that's what happens without backing it up, but what does that matter? Shouldn't everyone still have actual mod-related files? I know I still have all the ones I ever did. Yes, I had issues with how the evidently dead mod was progressing and also with the miserable organization of the effort and overall dismal leadership (shadow was the best, dragondude okay but not much of a leader, and soulstriker was actually a detriment,) and I'm now involved with another mod for hl2 that actually is organized and has some good talent (not just me) with just a lot of lousy team members that will be dropped and replaced after the semester ends, but I'd still like to see and play an EarthBound mod, so if I can help somehow, let me know.
Hate to break this to the fans, as i talked to dragoondude, HLEB has lost its webhosting and all its files becuase Octagon has failed.
Sorry to break this to everyone, i was looking foward to this too, but don't give up hope, they could still have something going!
What happened, did you guys let this mod die?
