Half-Life 2: Wars is a real-time strategy (RTS) modification set in the Half-Life universe. Although development is in its early stages, much has already been implemented (be sure to check our downloads section for the current release). Currently there is only singleplayer, but multiplayer is planned. There is thorough mapping documentation available on the forum for those who wish to make custom maps, which may be included in the mod.
Current features: Singleplayer, three maps, play as Combine or Resistance, basebuilding, Zombie and Antlion NPCs, RTS-style navigation and HUD, map objectives, resource control points, unit production, Orange Box SDK, fog of war, abilities, tech tree, improved AI/navigation
Upcoming features: further improvements to AI, navigation, interface, and stability, multiplayer, more maps and content in general.
Requires Orange Box to play. Orange Box SDK Base and HL2: Episode Two must be installed.

Half-Life 2: Wars is released! Half-Life 2: Wars is a realtime strategy modification in the hl2 universum. This release is more like a small demo of the mod and is intended as a preview on the mod. The release is featuring two maps and most of the stuff you would expect in a rts game. Units can be recruited and resources are gained from control points. In later releases the mod will be expanded with base building, more units, worked out sides and multiplayer.
This release requires Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: episode one to play.

you should release source code for other modders (release shaders etc)
there only is single player...
The mod doesn't has custom shaders.
I want to be able to say this mod is amazing, I love rts games but...why does it have to have the one part of half life i dont have! is there a way I can play it without having to have episode 2?? I cant find it by itself in any stores within 100 miles and my card doesnt work online for buying anything on ebay etc, the only way i can get it is by buying the orange box and since i somehow am able to download the orange box SDK without actually owning it, I really dont want to shell out another 30 quid to play one mod i might not even like...
This mod is good, but more maps would be good. There's a problem with the 'Crashed' map, it seems that the Combine AI has gone down the crapper when playing on this map. No matter how simple the command, the soldiers will either NOT do it or go around the entire map to get to a position that is right next to them.
