Half-Life 2: Short Stories is a team working on a group of modifications that take place in the same realm. A lot of the focus is on the story and gameplay, new innovative set pieces and puzzles. After the release of the first episode of Human Error, the team is planning to release more episodes and expand the characters and the world.

And here we are, now at Hlssmod.net, soldiering on, and that elusive finish line is starting to materialise. Faint, distant, but we're inching closer with Paradigm Decay Episode 1. Expect more from us in the near future. And, indeed, from Human Error and another short story that we're happy to announce: Midnight Sun, an episode being directly handled by of Pi Mu Rho of HL2.net and Zombie Master fame.

Midnight Sun puts players in the role of a mercenary employed by an elusive third-party to unearth the corporate secrets of one of Black Mesa's competitors – now being plundered by the Combine in a blasted, remote wilderness. We've got some shots on hand and, just to sweeten the deal, the unveiling of the 'timelapse' mechanic which we're going to be showcasing more of in the future. Please enjoy.

The video is available at Hlssmod.net

Loving the timelapse, and I can't wait to hear more about Midnight Sun. Keep up the fantastic work, I honestly think that using short stories is one of the best ideas in the hl2 modding scene I have seen in a long time :)
