Hello again, ModDB followers. Today I bring you a lot of stuff to talk about, so let's get on with it!
First, we would like to point out that Half-Life 2: Retaliation is under new management. Though it is still me, The Joker, writing up this news post, I would like to inform you that I have joined Agent Red Productions, the makers of Lethal Stigma and Situation Outbreak. They agreed to take HL2: R under their wing, and so it is now a project under Agent Red Productions. Nothing will change, the regime is still the same, so don't worry! We will still be bringing you one kick-*** mod!
Second, I would love to present to you fine people two new music tracks, as part of the official music soundtrack from Half-Life 2: Retaliation.
But wait! We didn't forget the BRAND-NEW video footage of Half-Life 2: Retaliation's second chapter, titled "Retaliation". More footage and media is on the way, so you stick around(that means tracking this mod)!
We have changed a good amount of stuff for the mod. We have actually removed the Combine Elite retexture, it doesn't look too good and we want to improve on Half-Life 2, not take away. We have also changed the HUD, weapon icons, and HUD font. Doesn't it look nice?
Lastly, we would like to elaborate on the new areas that have never been seen before in the Half-Life 2 universe. We call them "The Inland" and the "The Tunnel".
1. The Tunnel
The Tunnel is a massive underground complex under City 17. It was during World War 2 as a city-wide air raid shelter, and was also formally used by the Resistance to get citizens out of City 17. It is now zombie-infested, and filled with toxic gases and waste. No citizen could possibly survive down there. Now, a man with a Combine Mark VI HEV Suit, that's a different story.
2. The Inland
The Inland is the area between City 17 and The Coast. It consists of a massive series of railroads, warehouses, junkyards, and small houses. It is one of the more forested areas outside City 17, besides White Forest. The Resistance has several small outposts in The Inland, hoping to help any refugees who come through. Because of the high amount of Rebel activity, and of the influx of indigenous wildlife, the Combine are forced to provide direct military attention to The Inland areas, which makes it only harder for our protagonist to reach City 17.
Well, we thank you for reading another one of our news posts, and we hope you stay with us for even more! Please, comment, track, and support Half-Life 2: Retaliation by visiting our website, and the The Joker's YouTube Channel.

Cool! Looks interesting. Tracking!
Thank you, man!
u get off the wood planks, then u open the door...but u have to push the door, not pull it, so whats the deal?
What?
I'd guess the wooden planks are attached to the door.
Ah, I see what your saying, it makes no sense to have the plank there when the door would open the other way... it's an easy fix though, just have the door only open in the other direction.
I love this kind of hl2 mods so I'm going to look forward to this.
Indeed. Thank you for your support, we appreciate it :D
Looks as though you have some well formulated plans in motion. I love the sounds of the descriptions of the new areas. You've got your work cut out for you. Also, that " Intercepted " is a great sounding piece, well suited for the HL2 arena. Bring on some bone chilling tracks for " The Tunnel " !
Best of luck continuing the project with Agent Red Productions Joker. A far more than competent group !
Thank you very much. I've got some other tracks you may like that are a bit "dark". They will fit perfectly with The Tunnel. You'll be able to listen to these tracks in the next news post.
