Half-Life 2: Retaliation is a singleplayer Half-Life 2: Episode Two modification. It brings you into the familiar world of Half-Life 2 just as the antlion invasion of Nova Prospekt takes place. You step into the shoes of a notorious Rebel soldier who has been held captive in Nova Prospekt for months. During the invasion, he escapes his prison cell and goes on a long and violent mission to retaliate against the Combine, and aid the Resistance in the revolution. Travel through brand-new areas in Nova Prospekt, fight your way through three never-before-seen locations in the Half-Life 2 universe, witness the beginning of The Uprising, and ultimately carry out your retaliation.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long silence this past month, we have been extremely busy behind the scenes. You all know the holidays, finals and exams, sports competitions, work, school, all that jazz. But, we have been making tremendous progress on the mod, so today we'll be showing you some of the touch-ups and improvements we've made on past versions of maps, and we'll even give you never-before-seen pics of fully-textured maps that, after a bit more work, will be fully finalized and included into the Half-Life 2: Retaliation singleplayer campaign. And last but not least, we want
YOU guys to show your support for the mod, and nominate us for the

Hopefully we'll get into the category of "Best Upcoming Mod" but who knows what else could happen. But anyway, lets get down to business!

Our Progress

Well, we've basically hired 4 new level designers since the last news post, and progress is hard and fast. We have level designers working on and improving on Chapters 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the singleplayer campaign. Yes, we are making great headway, and so, we present to you some screenshots of newly-textured campaign maps from Chapters 2 and 3, as well as a few pics of some improved and re-visioned maps, complete with new props, details, textures, and other touch-ups.

Please note that we aren't completely finished with any of these maps. Nothing is perfect, and everything can be improved. Don't judged the above images as the final product of these maps.

And that's just about it for this time folks! In the near future, we'll have some exciting updates about the mod's Chapter 4 titled "In Utter Darkness". But until that time, I bid all of you ladies and gentlemen adieu!

i dont know why i should vote for your mod. Iv already voted for g-string, that mod is more interesting then this mod.

And your mod does not have anything interesting now. Your basically begging for MOTY votes, which is pathetic.

How are we begging? We are simply asking for your vote. =P Calm down, and don't get your plus-size panties in a bunch.

G-string looks cool, but if your looking for something more in the HL2 Universe; HL2: Retaliation is the closest you'll get.

I don't think they're 'begging' for votes. A great many great games/mods I'm tracking have done the same as Retaliation. Just saying 'if you like our work please vote' hardly constitutes begging in my opinion. Is this the best mod on Moddb? I dunno, it's a matter of opinion. If you like G-string better, good for you.
