Lots of Screenshots! Lots of News! - Half-Life 2: Retaliation mod for Half-Life 2: Episode Two

Hello everyone! Today, we bring you a bunch of content that we are sure you are interested to see and we hope to shed some light on what you see. In these screenshots, you will see never-before seen footage of Chapter2_Section2 and Chapter3_Section1. So, without further ado, lets get started.

First, before we explain on what you see, we want to give you the huge screenshot montage of both Chapter2_Section2 and Chapter3_Section1. Let's start with Chptr2_Sec2:

Don't those look nice? The first row are orange maps of Chapter2_Section2, and the bottom row are photos of the Work-In-Progress of the Chapter2_Section2. This area is meant to be a rest period and to allow the player to explore and look around, and if your vigilant enough, maybe find some easter eggs ;)

Now to talk about Chapter 3. In the beginning of Chapter 3, which is Chapter3_Section1, you are making your way along the Coast, hoping to get away from Combine-controlled areas. These are some screenshots of the player's first look at the Coast:

Beautiful, isn't it? Chapter 3 involves the player exploring the brand-new location to the Half-Life 2 universe which is called "The Inland". We hope to have many good-looking natural environments for you to enjoy, as we want to introduce a new setting to you for a fresh experience.

So, there's your screenshots. Of course, we cannot reveal all that we've done, but we hope this little taste will keep you interested ;)

Second, we want to explain on the new replacement of the old and boring HEV suit. Allow me to introduce the Combine Infantry Battle Armor, simply known as the experimental Combine IBA. This new piece of technology is a combination of the standard Combine infantry armor worn by Overwatch trans-human infantry and the technological features of the Combine Elite infantry suit. With a new style Heads Up Display and a new, brighter torch, the Combine IBA can greatly benefit anyone wearing it. Here are some images:
