Half-Life 2: Retaliation is a singleplayer Half-Life 2: Episode Two modification. It brings you into the familiar world of Half-Life 2 just as the antlion invasion of Nova Prospekt takes place. You step into the shoes of a notorious Rebel soldier who has been held captive in Nova Prospekt for months. During the invasion, he escapes his prison cell and goes on a long and violent mission to retaliate against the Combine, and aid the Resistance in the revolution. Travel through brand-new areas in Nova Prospekt, fight your way through three never-before-seen locations in the Half-Life 2 universe, witness the beginning of The Uprising, and ultimately carry out your retaliation.
Sorry for the long pause folks! Here are some images of the beta versions of some of our maps. Improved lightning, detail, and fixed displacements and atmosphere are some changes we've made. Enjoy!
alright, this picture is not MOTY quality. The displacement are done wrong. Hard seam between rock and grass surface. Unlogical little wood supports to hold all those large tree trunks? This is actually just **** if you didnt notice it.
OK, stop with the rude comments.
its not ment to be rude man. Am just saying that the mapping could be a lot better.
In what way is that statement constructive? Of course, we're still working on the map. If you want to help us, suggest things in a good, constructive and respectful manner. It'll go a long way to making our mod better and helping us get the job done.
It was constructive hes telling you thatthe wood on those logs are not strong enough to support the weight. And the displacements hes trying to tell you that you need to divide on them so you can make them more smoother, Also that rocky edge is alittle bit too much of a diffrence to have grass on it.
Soufmeister is right about the hard seam, I'd work on it. Nice language, by the way, lol.
Lemme just say though these new images are for the most part very good :D
