Whats New? news - Half Life 2: Breaking Point Mod for Half-Life 2

Hey Ya'll,

I know everybody wants to know what the heck we have been up to...or not up to and I'll be honest, not much. Each one of us got discouraged with the mod over the summer, so it almost totally fell apart. The website got scrapped, updates were few and far between, and our last media update was 6 months ago. To answer the age old question, "Ya dead, man?", we continue to reply, "NO!". Actually we have been in a sort of coma over the last few months trying to find the answers to why the mod fell apart.

Finally, finally, finally, Token figured it out. We had the answer: it was pre-production. This is the part that has to be completed before anything else can be done on the mod. It requires a storyline in its entirety, a strong dev membership base, with its structure all fleshed out, and finally a way to communicate efficiently, directly, and clearly within the dev group.

To state it clearly, we put the cart before the horse and unintentionally screwed up the mod, wasting valuable time and resources trying to figure out what the heck we were doing. We, the Dev Group at Breaking Point, apologize for this. You are our fan base and are incredibly important to our success. From now on we will try our very best to create a mod that is worthy of your expectations.

Current Events

Now, onto events that are going on right now. We are currently rebuilding and restructuring the dev group for better efficiency and communication. Also, the storyline is in its last phase and should be completed by, if not before, the first of next year.

The website is now ressurected at its old domain www.breakingpointmod.com . It now has seperate pages for each of the new "divisions" within the dev group: Graphics, Level Design, Artwork, Music, and Storyline. Please make sure to check these out! Also, our forums have been restructured to include areas for YOU to leave comments, make suggestions, submit artwork and ideas, and possibly get your name into the Breaking Point credits!!

FInally, a word on when our next update will be:

The next update date is not set in stone and it is not likely to be out this year. However, the first few months of next year should yield some surprising, if not motivational, results. Please check in often here, and at the website www.breakingpointmod.com , and keep us in your favorites!!
