Not bad. But you should work on the realistic movement. I really hate it when I have to go 3 meters backwards in order to make one jump. I have also noticed that in reality you gain running speed almost immediately after you have started running.

There's something physicists call: acceleration, is implemented here and implemented on real life.
You can not gain max speed at the very moment you start running, unless, of course, you are a high-tech robot or something.

Glad you like and thanks for the comment :)

Looks great, especially for HL1, but even if it wasn't it still looks good. Just one question, why use the original Half Life? I know some other mods use it too, but wouldn't the newer one give you more features from the start and allow you to do everything you could want + more? That said....implementing new graphic techniques into a game is about as big of an engine conversion as I can imagine.

Nice question.

Using HL2 can, indeed, decrease development's time, specially on tools, but when I started HL2 wasn't released, and when it was, I couldn't run it properly.

We could have switched engines time ago, but more tools does not means that your project is going to be a sucess.
I'm proud to have coded lots of features from scratch. That makes me appreciate those. I see lots of HL2 mods which doesn't uses the engine at 100% percent and that's kinda a pity.

not to mention people expect much higher standards from a newer engine.

No worries dude, if you have a video card that supports Open GL, then you can run this mod. Advanced effects can be easily disabled ;)
