Some people is crazy, HL was updated and mods aren't working and such. While some mods works, some other does not.
I always used a non-Steam version for development (to attach the debugger, the only reason). I put the folder on Steam (under common/half-life) and worked.
There's some minor issues like the game icon not being loaded. Also some people needs to disable post processing (fancy effects not really needed) and works.
So, feel free to know that the game is coming and is going to work.
Sorry for the lack of updates, we were VERY busy, but it will pay off. This year.

Some mods are indeed broken (VGUI in Cry of Fear and Rainbows in Am for exemple), but I found a trick to avoid this while Valve fixes the problem, just press the "Windows" key to bring up the "Start Menu", and click where the GoldSrc update don't want you to click, this is how I finished Cry of Fear for the 10th time =)
After looking at many websites, I see a lot of people saying "Linux broke HL mods" or stuff like that, if you are one of those people who are saying that, you are WRONG. Valve is changing the way that GoldSrc behave and it has nothing to do with Linux (the obvious example is the fact that custom content is now stored into "valve_downloads" and "cstrike_downloads" folders which is common to Windows, Linux and Mac). I don't want to start a Operating System fight or something bad like this, I'm just telling that people should stop saying that Linux is the cause of HL mods being broken. As far as I know, police doesn't accuse criminals without obvious proof.
