In Half-Life, you witness the aftermath of the destruction in Xen as you fought to survive the onslaught of the invading army from Xen.
In Half-Life 2, you experienced the allegiance of the Vortigaunts as you fought for survival against the Combine.
In Half-Life 0.50: Vortigaunt, you will experience the destruction of the Vortigaunts home world and the events that lead up to the invasion of Earth through Black Mesa.
Game Outline
Play in the role of the Vortigaunt as you witness the destruction of your own home world.
This mod will reintroduce a number of old and new Half-Life favorites. All the old Half-Life characters will be remodeled for the Source engine. Familiar enemies and characters include but are not limited to:
- Pit Drone
- Shock Trooper
- Shock Roach
- Voltigore
- Bullsquid
- Barnacle
- Tentacle
- Ichthyosaur
- Snark
- Antlion
- Antlion Guard
- Houndeye
- Headcrab
The mod will also introduce a collection of old and new weapons into the mix. The list include organic favorites such as:
- Spore Launcher (Baby Shock Trooper)
- Hive Hand
- Snark
- Pheropod
And who can forget the Vortigaunts intrinsic lightning ability?
Development Team Goal
Our goal is to present a mod that explains the events that lead up to and include the invasion of Earth through Black Mesa. Unlike some alternate view mods, we will work closely with the community at large to avoid breaking existing or generally accepted theories about the Half-Life universe. We hope to create a mod that fits in well enough that even when Valve releases the next versions of Half-Life, our story will still fit.
The team will work closely with each other, presenting ideas to improve the mod at large.

the idea sounds just great :) would like to see how it's played :)
Things have been kind of overwhelming for me the last few months so it's difficult to divide my focus between so many things that require my attention. The mod will be done when it's done ;)
