Gunslinger's Academy is a Jedi Academy total conversion which aims to bring gun combat to Jedi Academy Multiplayer. Features include new weapons, achievements, killstreak rewards, a new combat system, several new maps, and multiple new gametypes.
Yeah, we've been neglecting to do these. Ever since 2.4.0, we've been in development frenzy, constantly adding tons of new stuff to the game. But today, we're bringing you an update chock-full of new developments!

Yeah, we've been neglecting to do these. Ever since 2.4.0, we've been in development frenzy, constantly adding tons of new stuff to the game. The first, and probably most exciting thing is with our new announcement:
Airstrikes and Helicopters!
Airstrikes come in many different flavors, each unique to a specific map. You can carpet bomb or even disperse massive amounts of toxic gas over an area, all controllable via a designator grenade. Usually they're rewarded after 5 kills, but on certain maps like Shipment, you might get them after 8 kills or so.
Helicopters also come in many different varieties. There's attack helicopters that circle the map, shooting their guns at targets. There's also ones that fly in a strafing run, and more still that shoot heat-seeking missiles or even have player-controlled guns. Usually you get these after 10 kills, perhaps. It depends on the map, along with other killstreaks.
Our killstreak system utilizes a series of tab-delimited text files (those of you who mod Diablo II should be familiar with these!) to determine on which maps you get these killstreaks. You can also customize how many kills are required to get the rewards. It's so easy to customize that a server admin could do it (with their own custom files)
Barn is a familiar favorite from Soldier of Fortune II. Some might say that it's a small map, however the dense amount of cover makes up for this as a sort of size increase.

In addition, we have revitalized the Dynamic Music System. As a result, shooting players or triggering an explosion will cause the music to change to reflect a more upbeat atmosphere. This was originally in OJP Basic (which is what we are based off of), however we have corrected it to be fully functional and added our own set of logic to it.
