GRIM AGE: Skirmish - a multiplayer mod for Mount & Blade Warband, based on the universe of Warhammer Fantasy Battles, which allows players to take part in the battles between: The hordes of Chaos (represented by the minions of the Dark Gods of Chaos, Khorne and Nurgle). The armies of the Empire (represented by defenders of Ostland). And the troops of Kislev (in development).

Description of faction's armies:

Ruthless northern warriors who worship the forces of chaos and destruction. The bulk of the troops form the Marauders of Chaos - mid-armored footmen. Elite is considered by Warriors, Knights and Champions of Chaos - heavily armored fighters that make up the backbone of the attacking warbands. There is also the light cavalry units - Raiders of Chaos - take place.

Ostland State Troops are medium-armored soldiers, armed mostly with pikes, halberds, swords, crossbows and muskets. The role of the cavalry perform numerous forces of heavily armored knights.

In the battles Kislev is based on numerous cavalry - Winged Lancers and Ungol Horse Archers. Kislev infantry as mobile and versatile - Kossars are both archers and footmen.

Game Modes:
1. The Siege.
The small imperial town was attacked by warband of Chaos Marauders, which are planning to break barricades and cut out all of its inhabitants. Imperial soldiers have an access to bonus weapons and armor. Respawn of Chaos players is limited, respawn of Imperial players is infinite.

2. Necromancer's Attack.
Players must protect an imperial village from huge waves of the undead, that became stronger every next wave, minor-bosses and the final boss - the necromancer. Defenders have a chance to pick up bonus weapons and ammunition after every attack.

3. Ambush.
A gang of Marauders and Raiders of Chaos assaulting the Imperial troops, which is going through the forest. The main task of Imperials - to support the Imperial Captain survive and bring him to the end of road.

4. Battle.
Common Deathmatch side to side with some bonus weapons and ammunition for killed enemies.

5. Duel.Chance to decide who is better.

It is the year of 2023. The Great War against Chaos has ended. But even though The Empire claimed victory, the peace, which the citizens of The Empire had waited for, didn't come. Many thousands of bloodthirsty followers of Chaos spread across the lands of Ostland, hiding in the Forest of Shadows, pillaging Empire villages, raiding caravans and slaughtering numerous innocents. Soon after the war ended, Chaos marauders of Norsca, led by N, performed a raid on Gauschdorf. It proved to be surprisingly successful, as the desperate and exhausted Empire troops, guarding the outpost, were not yet ready for a massive attack of the Great Enemy. Neither was the garrison of Schönfeld, which quickly moved to aid the outpost guards in the attack. Ultimately, they were slain in the name of the Dark Gods. The furious warbands of marauders evidently captured Schonfeld, which led on to N establishing a Chaos outpost close to the city, inspired by the success of the battle. Many battle-hardened champions and warriors of Chaos wished to be led into battle by Blabla, who started forming another horde to finish off the Empire once and for all..

Briefly, it's going to be a quest-based singleplayer mod, backed up with an imaginary story happened after The Storm Of Chaos.

What's done so far: 1. Simple rank system allowing player to hire better troops. Right now it's renown based, but it will be adjusted to quest as soon as we have them done.

2. Population. Now recruits don't appear from nowhere, each settlement has certain population and a certain number of recruits. Lords use this system, too, draining nation's manpower.

3. New recruiting systems for both Empire and Chaos. It gives player some more reasons to develop their character. The higher is player's rank, the better units are vailable to be hired. Lords use this system, too, thus only the most honourable lords can upgrade veteran infantry into Greatswords, for example.

4. Different small stuff.

- Test event which happens at the end of the first week
- "Nordland Refugees", it levels population of Salkalten up.
- Destroyable villages.
- Permanent war between factions.
- New bandits.
- New map (WIP).
- Player can use weapon only of his own faction.
- All troops, which are not of player's faction are removed from it.
- Unique bodyguards for faction leaders.

What did i miss since i cant find any Kislevites nor
new gametypes or maps when im starting a bot server!?
Also why are the chaos chars unplayable with helmet
slit huds? Anyway thanks for the other working contents!

P.S.: Could it be because i did use the normal WB launcher
because with the batch the game asks for reactivation and
not accepts the serial number again?

Hello! The mod is in alpha stage, and we work hard to improve it. So not everything is in there yet, but since Furok left modding, I can't promise that Kislevites will be in at all. Though I work on some new models, and hopefully the range of classes will be enriched soon.

Concerning the buggy Chaos warriors. Yes, it's nesessary to launch the WSELoader.exe to get them work properly. Please, visit this thread:

PART 3 (1,60 Gb) - All ART by different artists with illustrations, troop trees, promo materials etc.

PART 4 (1,37 Gb) - It's TEXTURE references folder
(My advise is to download and extract all archives to one folder for comfort work)
