Following the events of Crash Course the survivors find themselves trapped on a free-way intersection surrounded by the infected horde. If it seemed like the world was coming to an end before it certainly does now! Volcanic activity has suddenly started occuring on a massive scale resulting in deadly lava flows and destructive earthquakes. Gridlock released!

Gridlock has to be one of the most ambitious projects I have undertaken and it was an amazing experience. The hard work everyone involved put in (most of all Co-creator Lou Saffire) made this release possible, you have my thanks!
We've had a lot of great feedback since Gridlock was released on L4Dmaps a few days ago. As of 09.09.12 we have received over 11,000 downloads and hold a member score of 9.3! You can download Gridlock from:

L4Dmaps

Moddb

Any constructive feedback is very much appreciated as it helps us iron out bugs and of course improve the experience for you the player!

What next for Gridlock?

The natural disasters competition was a great way to push ourselves to create a map that features both solid gameplay and effects that influence player experience. In order to achieve this and keep it all in one map (one of the requirements for the competition) we had to make sacrifices.
Now that we've submitted Gridlock we can potentially work and expand on it to more accurately meet our original vision.

The current plan is break up the main sections of the map (highway, lava tunnel and truckstop finale) into their own levels with new content in-between. This is all subject to change and massively depends on demand. If you enjoyed Gridlock and want to see a more expansive version please let us know here on Moddb, L4Dmaps or via our email: prospect.developer@gmail.com When we know what to do with Gridlock a news post will be made here so add us to your watchlist and stay tuned!
