Historical Accuracy / References

Even though this MOD's timeframe is mixed, it is still intended to be historically accurate. The units, are designed to be as accurate as possible. Much research has been done to ensure all units are properly named and armed. IFor example, the persian Kardakes, which very little is known about is depicted as follows:

It is back to work for me on this mod. Sorry about the long break but i need time off for school reasons. I will be continuing my work on this mod. I have made some minor change so far and i am planning to replace roman faction units now as well. I wanted to thank Rise of Persia team for assisting me on some Persian and Greek units skeletons. I have fixed some bugs, changed Parthia to Persian completely and added historically accurate Persian territories as pictured below.

Coming Changes:
- Parthia now completely Persia
- New campaign map to represent historic western Persia with Greeks
- New factions: Greek cities will be split into Sparta and Athens; Brutii and Scipii factions removed.
- New hoplites for Athenians and Spartans.
- New Cretan archers
- Tweaked some cavalry
- Spartan cavalry
- Every unit in game will have different attributes (attacks, defenses, charges, etc.)
- No more spartan generals, just Spartan Elites and Greek generals
- New flags and banners for Greeks and Macedon's
- Historical battles: Marathon, Gaugamela and Chaeronia, possibly thermopylae

This project has been discontinued untill further notice. Thank you to all of you who supported this mod. Prince of Persia out.

I will be  releasing a new release soon which will dramatically improve gameplay, adds new units and modify's campaign map units and settlements for a greco-persian war settings (500BC era). Parthia will be completly converted to Persia with all new units. greek cities get even more different hoplites and seleucids, egypt, pontus and armenia will be removed from the campaign NOT from the game. Rome will play very little role in the campaign. It will be mainly egypt vs persia vs greece. As for gameplay cavalry are a lot more powerful now. Even spartans get cavalry. Unit costs have been accuratelly balanced based on factions. more to come stay tuned...

Ok, heres a review / problems with your mod:

-Of the symbols you replaced, none have their smaller counterparts.
-New symbols dont highlight when you rollover (they do when you select tho)
-New UIs stand out compared to vanilla ones...-Most greek UIs (small) are not transparent and re-use vanilla large portraits (large ones).
-The first soldier of every unit is missing alpha channels
-Somehow, the vanilla spartan hoplite's (phalanx pikemen) have lost their descriptions...
-The "Early General" & "Hellenic Medium Hoplites" are EXACTLY the same (texture model...) down to their attack and defence points, except their hitpoints...
-All the banners (besides persia) are still vanilla, and Persia's ones are missing alpha textures.
-The "Spartan General's" shield is horribly morphed
-Out of the Greek Roster, only the pikemen can actualy do a phalanx, and it isnt the overhand grip, the rest are missing the phalanx button all together.
-Spartan Hoplites (300) wield a scimitar, not a Kopis, what your looking for is this : By-the-sword.com
-Spartan Hoplite capes are completly rigid, they put cape bones in there for a reason...
-Marathon is not historicaly accurate, according to Wikipedia: "The bulk of Persian infantry were likely Takabara lightly armed archers", your army is made up of sparabara mostly, & your army lacks Plataen hoplites "7,000 to 9,000 Athenians, 1,000 Plataeans"
-None of the greeks in the battle of Marathon have a short description
-No, naked "300" hoplites and immortals (that look like ninjas) are not historicaly accurate.
-The persian soldier dressed in an electric blue tunic is missing a unlocalised placement text.
-Besides Macedon, Persia (which is still named Parthia BTW), and Greece, all other vanilla factions are still included, which doesnt make sens seeing as Gaul didnt participate in the _Greco_-_Persian_ wars.
-Also, the quick battle function gave me a crash with no error...
