Description
Mod and custom content made and copyrighted by Gridlockshock custom audio by xalener This alpha demo is just a small sample level with only five enemies on it. It's to show the progress of the fps mode itself. like most gears of war mods I can allow other members of the gears of war modding community to be able to create their own maps with this mod via level streaming. installation: just copy and paste the Gears of War for Windows folder included in the .rar into the MyDocuments\MyGames Directory. A window will appear asking if you want to merge the folders, click "Yes to All" start up Gears of War and open your console command prompt. Now type "open fps_v3_stormfeild" and press enter.

In my rar file that I downloaded from moddb, there is a typo that prevented me from running the mod and might prevent other users from running it too. To fix it make sure to rename the "Gears ofWar for Windows" folder as it appears in the archive to "Gears of War for Windows" (adding a space between "of" and "War").

ODD, I CAN'T DOWNLOAD THE FILE, JUST KEEP GETTING ADS EVERYTIME I CLICK DOWNLOAD.
Hmmm... Strange, I correct the typo and merge the two folders, but the game prevents me from starting up? Gives me an error message. It has to do with modified executable code, how is this fixed?
Sorry for the double post but I just fixed the problem and played the alpha. Very rough, basic gameplay mechanics need some fine tuning but this definitely has some potential, look forward to future releases!
All I can say is I am in awe, I played the demo, I am going to be glued to this mod, Please continue your This is something special!
Ok,so followed the directions and when I entered the command in the console command prompt nothing happens.Do I need to be in a certain game mode,or in game?
yeah it was my mistake. i misspelled the folder 'gears ofwar for windows'
it sould be 'gears of war for windows'.
Hey Grid, looks great. I can't imagine how much of a painful experience this is using gears of War. UT3 has a open mod capability and Uscripting and updated version of the editor.

I'm considering UT3. maybe when I get more content made or finish what I already started on. I think the only thing keeping me from switching is my lack experience with unreal script. I'm not much of the coder type.

UT3 modding has a bigger community I'm sure theres alot of guides and help. I guess just do whats comfortable for you. I really enjoyed playing your demo. Can't what for more content. good luck
