GoldenEye: Source is a modification of Half-Life 2, with only one goal in mind; to bring the memories and experiences from the original GoldenEye64 back to life using Source Technology. We want you to look at this mod and remember the first best multiplayer first-person shooter ever made. We are doing our best to bring in the opinions of the community to create a game that everyone is going to enjoy. But, we are not here to recreate the game exactly how it was in GE64, a lot of things have changed since they first designed that game, mainly in technology and gamers experiences. We are here to take the game even further but at the same time provide a lot of those fun elements that hardcore GE64 fans will enjoy. We've got experienced team members all across the board, from professional level, to amateurs looking to make it into the business working hard to make this dream a reality.

Behold the AR-33 Assault Rifle. It arguably is the best weapon in Goldeneye 64, right up there with the RCP-90. With the AR-33's high rate of fire, extensive zooming capability, and its deadly magazine - who honestly didn't feel like Rambo running and gunning with the largest rifle in the entire game? It also is one of the few weapons with the ability to hit two targets with a single bullet. This was the weapon of choice for countless villains in Goldeneye, and now it can be yours. Stand aside ZMG, cause your big brother is coming to kick your ass in Goldeneye Source. Precisely modeled by Baron and extensively textured by Fourtecks.
It is also an appropriate time for the Goldeneye Source team to mention recruitment. We are looking for talented coders and mappers to fill the ranks of the dev team. What is of great importance is the programmer position. Also, we have a couple of slots open to talented mappers. If you are interested in applying, make an extensive post in our JOIN US section of the forums. Please do so by creating a new thread and include plenty of examples of your previous work that you feel best shows your abilities as a mapper. For coders, do the same, but tell us a bit about what you're experienced with, for example, coding in the Source Engine.

Nice rifle ! But the ingame is wierd , is that idel position ?
It's based off of the position of the original game. Might be a little hard to compare though since the screenshot was taken at a widescreen resolution and the top was cut off a tad to fit the banner image.
Haha, yeah, the AR15's (pretty much every assault rifle) in Goldeneye 64 looked weird because there were no hands holding em. While it looks rather silly, it is a correct representation of the game.
i think it looks great, i would buy HL2 for this but i dont like using windows......
well you better stop complaining about not liking to use windows, cause it's a kickass game to play, and will be even better when the next version is released :D
Or you could buy an N64. :P
i have an N64, im talking about playing GE source not GE64(aka the best game ever). i have windows on my mac and i used it for a while to play CSS but i just dont think playing games makes up for my frustration with windows(CSS and F.E.A.R. run great and all but.... bleh).
the clip it has only around 10-15 ammo. i know its recreating hte old one but wouldnt they fix that mistake?
Kick-ass job you are doing here.
AgeNT_, the magazine modeled is a 20-round.
