GoldenEye: Source is a Multiplayer only total conversion modification of Half-Life 2. It is a fan made recreation, released for free, with only one goal in mind; to bring the memories and experiences from the original GoldenEye64 back to life using Source Technology. We want you to look at this mod and remember the first best multiplayer first-person shooter ever made. We are doing our best to bring in the opinions of the community to create a game that everyone is going to enjoy. But, we are not here to recreate the game exactly how it was in GE64, a lot of things have changed since they first designed that game, mainly in technology and gamers experiences. We are here to take the game even further but at the same time provide a lot of those fun elements that hardcore GE64 fans will enjoy. We've got experienced team members all across the board, from professional level, to amateurs looking to make it into the business working hard to make this dream a reality.

Our programmers have been pretty hard at work around the clock for the last week or so, fixing all sorts of problems that we've been trying to solve, and practically drove us crazy for some time. We also took a look at some of the problems that have hindered the game-play of our game, some of which we knew about, and some that the community gave some input on. With the recent hiring of two new programmers, lodle and superman, programming development has started to take off again, much like it had been in the past. 'Multifire', which has really held us back from some serious development, has practically been completely fixed, except for a few issues which our programmers are taking a look at. Some of the lag issues that drove a lot of people crazy have been eliminated as well, and we've even added a few new features and game-play mechanics that we've been working toward for quite some time; Death animated blood anyone?

Onward, the animation department is starting to get back into it's daily workout again after a few months of sitting like a couch potato. We've begun completely re-doing all of our weapon animations, which we thought weren't very consistent and just lacked the natural motion in which a weapon fires and moves. With a totally redone hand model and animation set up, it will allow our animators to work at a higher level, and do so in a much more efficient manner, so we are really excited about that.

On another note, We recently did an interview with EGM (Brazil) magazine, in which we answered various questions -- you'll even see some new media as well! So make sure you check that out if you get the chance. We'll be posting the interview and article on our site\forums in English when it is published.

Ah yes, and one more thing, I know everyone has been wondering when the next release is going to be. Well our answer is, we are a bit sketchy on the date we have in mind, so we aren't ready to make any announcements at this time. We'll keep you posted!
