GoldenEye: Source is a total conversion modification of Half-Life 2. It is a fan made recreation, released for free, with only one goal in mind; to bring the memories and experiences from the original GoldenEye64 back to life using Source Technology. We want you to look at this mod and remember the first best multiplayer first-person shooter ever made. We are doing our best to bring in the opinions of the community to create a game that everyone is going to enjoy. But, we are not here to recreate the game exactly how it was in GE64, a lot of things have changed since they first designed that game, mainly in technology and gamers experiences. We are here to take the game even further but at the same time provide a lot of those fun elements that hardcore GE64 fans will enjoy. We've got experienced team members all across the board, from professional level, to amateurs looking to make it into the business working hard to make this dream a reality.

With MOTY 2008 wrapped up, we focus on the releases of February 2009. Quite a slow month heavy on the Half-Life 2 Steamworks releases and updates, with a few Indies for good measure. Lets hope March will have more featured releases!
Till next time mod away my good friends and watch this group for updates.

nothing special...
(buried)
I know, too
Whatever is released in that month is released, Mod developers can only work so hard, So give them a break.
If you think that you can do better. Go ahead.
@ OP lol WHAT?
(buried)
Only HL2 mods?
Except for Deadly Tower.
Umm, mideast crises is for C&C 3... The fact that it was an rts should have been a dead giveaway that it wasn't for HL 2 (with the exception of HL wars, because I know someone will bring that up).

What is with MEC 2?
And yeah, these mods aint nothing, that is very special, but they are fun to play, so who cares about that. And Eternal silence is more than a normal shooter by the way...
slow month :(
yep... well except for the steammods :)
I commend the developers for continuing development throughout the MOTY awards. It was an exhausting couple of months and the new releases look great. Keep up the hard work.
I don't really know much about how they work, the MOTY, but aren't they just exhausting for the crew? I mean... besides the interviews they "have" to do (PR anyone?) what else makes the devs be extra exhausted then some other time in the year?
Ontopic: really small collection of mods this time... pity
Well advertising and getting extra media all that.
Nice month, But I know them all, just the deadly tower first timer.
W00T your voice is back!
Why do we have to keep listening to that annoying Australian voice? What happened to the nice American announcer style voice? :)
Do you find the accent annoying in general or just his voice?
As an Australian I find the Aussie accents portrayed in American movies/shows tend to be exaggerated and closer to British accents. Just doesn't sound right compared to how people actually sound here.
Think he was goofing off a bit :)
I thought Henley was british... I like that... Also why do you like that tasteless american voice?
Henley is Australian.
Really?
Yes...
lol
As other said slow month but releases are releases.
hey great work developers
Work on Deadly Tower is still going on I can assure. There might be some new concepts in the next release.
:D Golden Source Update! great work guys
I don't know if all released mods should be here but I take the liberty and remind that Eye of the Storm mod for HL2: EP2 ( Moddb.com ) was released in January too..
Its featured releases.
Ah yeah we missed that one, sorry dudes.
MidEast Crisis 2 could be the reason why i would finally buy c&c...
