If you liked my Colonies mod, for the original Men of War, then you'll certainly like this one. It will include units from the middle of the 19th century until WW1. Not just colonial units, but "home" units as well: Cavalry, Infantry, Artillery, Guards, Navy. Countries I plan to include: Britain, France, Austria-Hungary, German Empire, Russian Empire, USA, some other countries as well (maybe Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Japan, and some colonial "enemies").

Description

LEFT TO RIGHT: Chief warder & 2 warders (all three in blue), commanders of the Yeomen of the Guard (2 in red), Yeomen of the guard (all three in red)

SHORT HISTORY: Yeomen Warders of Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress the Tower of London, and Members of the Sovereign's Body Guard of the Yeoman Guard Extraordinary, also known as "Beefeaters" are the guards of the Tower of London and also the crown jewels. All warders are retired from the Armed Forces of Commonwealth realms and must be former senior non-commissioned officers or petty officers with at least 22 years of service. They must also hold the Long Service and Good Conduct medal.

The Queen's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard are a bodyguard of the British Monarch. The oldest British military corps still in existence, it was created by Henry VII in 1485 at the Battle of Bosworth. As a token of this venerability, the Yeomen still wear red and gold uniforms of Tudor style. There are 60 Yeomen of the Guard (plus 6 Officers), drawn from retired members of the British Army, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force, but traditionally not the Royal Navy.[1] This ban on Royal Navy Personnel was lifted in 2011 and 2 Sailors joined the ranks of the Yeomen of the Guard. However, the role of the Captain of the Queen's Bodyguard of the Yeomen of the Guard is a political appointment — the Captain is always the government Deputy Chief Whip in the House of Lords.
