The main goal of this SubMod will be to : - Add new SubFactions (with new units, heroes, buildings and powers). - Add some models and texture to my pack of maps to improve the global design of the maps. - Solve the ButtonImage problem for all the CommandButtons in my maps. - To add some new useful Command Buttons (to mask the trees in "Caras Galadhon" for example). I very like Edain Mod like that... I so decided to make an submod which will be activated only when you choose to play a map whose the name begin by "SubMod:"

Hi everyone! I've started to rework entirely Caras Galadhon, the Galadriel and Celeborn kingdom. I will post pictures in the same time than I making the city to show my progression.

I want to make something more playable than my first version of this map... I so decided to remake entirely the map since the start.

I planned to change a lot of thing for this map but I will work in priority on two thing:
- A system which allow each players to click on a button to hide/show the leafs of the trees in the maps.
- A system more oriented on the life in the tree... I want than the Caras Galadhon player own a strategic defense based on the tree platforms (Sometime a lot of arrows can be more powerfull than big wall).
I must specify than the ennemy archers will be able to target the Lothlorien units in present in the trees.

I introduce now my work with a first previw picture of the Caras Galadhon citadel site (the global ambiance light will be changed after than I finish to put my objects on the map):

I decided to make the woodland more detailed adding grass to the ground (this is a new model, I hope the map will be not too difficult to load with it):

This looks adorable, nice idea to make that! :) I especially like the mechanic with the button to hide/show the leafs. I think this can also be done with rocks ;)

Yes I was thinking to that for some maps like Ered Mithrin, I will also use it in my my map Goblin Town to hide wood plots which unable the player to see correctly his troops.

When I will find the best way to release this system without bugs and game crashes, I will show you how to integrate it in your maps.

wow awesome butcaras galdahon should be like the one of lord of the rings online...only golden trees/leaves...mellyrn all the way...green only on the borders ;)

Maybe, but I planned to keep the golden texture for the map Cerin Amroth.
Also the map will be in the night and will own special light effect. And this will modify the normal colors, I can so say than the defference betwee the yellow and the green will not appear in game ;)

(btw im not sure anymore but you are a part of the AotR team or? So will this map be available there too? and will you maybe release a mappack when you are done?)

I currently make map for AotR but the problem of this mod is the old BFME2 system than allow the players to build where they want.
Because there is no suffisant space in my maps to allow the player to build with the BFME2 sytem.
This is for that than I prefer make maps for edain, the plot system is better for fortress maps (and also I prefer Edain Mod to AotR but this is my personal think).

So I think I will continue the work than I planned for AotR but these maps will be a little bugged like the beta which are already in this game.

The big problem than I personnaly have with my maps is always the same, I want to make them beautidul but enjoyable, and often they are not enjoyable because they own too much bugs in game. This is for that than I decided to make this submod, which will help me to improve the gameplay of my maps and all the little thing which prevent the player to enjoy them. :)

However I planned to make maps like Moria, CarasGaladhon and TheHallsOfThranduil for AotR

ah ok, yes the build anywhere problem on such maps makes sense...in can see this ;)

but tbh for myself i prefer build anywhere as some other keyfeatures of Aotr far above edain, as also that fact that edain is not recieving much updates in the latest past

It happening the same thing when you play to the normal map of the game?

If the answer is no, I can say you than all my maps will be fixed with An Edain Submod.

no i use edain mod 4.4.1 i put them in my profile maps c:/user/my name/AppData/Roaming/Rise of the witch king profile and i put in the folder maps but this problem has the same as my brother and my friends

Alright! As I said before all my maps will be fixed in my submod because I think the last update of EdainMod changed some ini file and my old maps are not compatible with it.
