First uninstall all your mods, after that  uninstall Battlefield 2, then follow the below instructions:

You can manually uninstall the game by removing the files and registry keys associated with it. Be sure to follow these steps exactly as they appear to prevent accidental file/program deletion on your system.

To delete the save files:

1. Open My Documents.
2. Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.

To delete the game files (in the default location):

1. Open My Computer.
2. Open the C drive.
3. Open the Program Files folder.
4. Open the EA GAMES folder.
5. Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
6. Close all open windows.
7. Right-click on the Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.
to edit the registry and remove Battlefield 2:

1. Click on the Start button.
2. Click on Run.
3. Type regedit in the text field.
4. Click File and then choose Export.
5. Name the file Backup and make sure the Export Range is set to All.
6. Click Save; you will now be returned to the Registry Editor window.
7. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
8. Click the plus sign next to Software.
9. Click the plus sign next to DICE.
10. Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
11. Click the plus sign next to Electronic Arts.
12. Right-click and choose Delete on any Battlefield 2 folders.
13. Click the plus sign next to Microsoft.
14. Click the plus sign next to Windows.
15. Click the plus sign next to CurrentVersion.
16. Click the plus sign next to Uninstall.
17. Right-click on the key named {04858915-9F49-4B2A-AED4-DC49A7DE6A7B} andchoose Delete.
18. A Confirm Key Delete window will appear, choose Yes.
19. Close the WindowsRegistry Editor.
20. Go to the following folder: C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information (If you cannot find this folder you may have to go to Tools > Folder Settings and click the setting to “SHOW hidden folders.”)
21. Find the folders with the exact same values as the registry keys above and delete them.
22. Empty the recycle bin once more.

After that Install Battlefield 2, (If you have SF expansion: Install Bf2, then install SF) then updated it to v1.41, after update has completed then updated it to v1.50.

NOTE: DO NOT USE CRACK/NO CD EXE BEACUSE IT'S NOT NEEDED FOR V1.5 , UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS, DIRECTX AND FRAMEWORK !!!

Thanks Foxfort, this could actually allow me to install on my Windows computer and I may not have these big crashes from other mods!

May 26 2013, 7:27am Anchor

first of all, thanks for your reply.
but, it seems that it doesn't change anything, i did all your instruction from uninstalling bf2, until update my card driver.
it's just the same, i load any map, and crash.
thanks anyway, i'm using v0.4 know.. and i want v0.5 because of its weapon

sir foxfort, i think there's a 'little' different in registry between 32-bit and 64-bit.
when you want to locate the DICE, EA, etc. you should go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES >then> Wow6432Node .... go look trough that.
it's a little bit confusing in the first time.

Which windows are you using?

Edited by: FoxFort

May 26 2013, 6:33pm Anchor

i use windows 64-bit though.
but, after i uninstall the game and mod, there's no registry left in regedit . such as DICE, EA GAMES.
the game is still crash, or maybe i should try to put client.zip to your \GlobalStrom\Levels ?

May 27 2013, 2:19am Anchor

not that. XP, Vista, 7 or 8?

May 27 2013, 4:25am Anchor

oh, i use windows 7 home premium
is there any special requirements? such as video setting, PB or something like that.

Did you tried with "run as administrator"?

May 27 2013, 8:27pm Anchor

I am getting the desktop teleport when trying to simply load the mod

I have no other mods installed other than global storm and my computer passes all the requrements to play

May 28 2013, 3:39am Anchor

yes, i did.
nothing changes

May 28 2013, 7:53pm Anchor

Nevermind i got it working :D

Anyone who has the no cd patch remove it you dont need it in 1.5 or it wont load for you

You need the original Battlefield.exe not cd patched or anything

May 28 2013, 8:36pm Anchor

i know it, i installed bf2 then 1.41 patch then 1.50 patch.
i didn't add any crack to bf2 folder.
but i got it not working.

by the way, which windows did you use?

I have a general crash when loading maps (textures) too...I followed all your tips you posted here. Even vanilla maps aren't running,
so the problem is on my side I guess...?

Jun 20 2013, 2:50pm Anchor

the game crash when I click the "join game" button, except ue maps, but when I choose to play as mec the game crash, is a kits menu bug!!! only on EE.UU, and MEC kits,  HOW CAN I FIX IT ?!!

Jun 20 2013, 3:50pm Anchor

Hmm please tell me Jack_the_Crack is your BF2 english or some other version?

Pipenavaja did you tried to do this:

Please note that if you want to report crash, you must run mod in window mod. First make new shortcut of Battlefield 2, then right click on that shortcut and in target line at the end add this: " +menu 1 +fullscreen 0 +szx 800 +szy 600 +modPath mods/GlobalStorm" (without ""), save and run that shortcut. Now run the map and when game crashes it should show you a new window with error description, you write that description here. "

I got the german version. redownload / reinstall / change of graphic settings...I did it all. Unfortunately it doesn't run...this is dissapointing because you made a really great mod.

Then it's looks like there's the problem with non english version. I'll try to find german version of the game on internet to see could that be the problem.

Thanks for reply.

There's something wrong with MEC. When I play map with MEC in it, the game always out to desktop. I can play it before but with some bug, there's no specops kits on MEC. But after I change MEC specops kit weapon on GS_modserver, when I play map with MEC in it, the game always out to desktop when I click join.
Help pleasee

By the way great mod!!

First the BF2 MEC specop is not being used, if you want to add weapons to MEC Special ops then you go into "GSmod_server.zip/Kits/mecsf/MECSF_Specops.con".

If there is crash when you change weapon in *.con, be sure that you written correctly new weapon name and that you repleaced old name, if you have for example 2. primary weapons the game will crash.

Copied from my comment at your mod ("Summary" tab)

Hey Foxfort, just found some minor detail errors, first, the benelli M4 ejects 2 shells when you fire it, when firing the M95, the shell already comes out before the sniper can pull the bolt. One more thing, there's a problem with the M9 (standard and suppressed), when you're hipfiring it, the bullets tends to hit the left side of the crosshair, but when ADS'ing, the bullets is on the dot, try to aim on something, aim down the sight and you'll see the that gun will move to the left slightly and slightly to the right (or vice versa)when getting back to hipfiring position. Maybe some animation problems? Those are the only things that I've noticed when playing the mod since I downloaded 0.5.

Yes, thank you, I've fixed that in SF version. As for M9 Beretta I've still haven't found reason why it happens.

It's good to hear that you fixed it but what's "the mercenaries update" ?

Jun 29 2013, 9:45pm Anchor

No idea.
Anyway, I've realised that the Barret sniper rifle, or whatever the main sniper in the US is, doesn't do the reloading animation after every shot.  You know what I mean; pulling the pin backwards.
