Well, it's about a month since I took over and quite a bit has been done so far. We are still looking for team members and we have a developer group type thing set up too.
Posted by Antec_01 on May 29th, 2012

This is where we are at so far, with a month into development.
We still need a lot of work, and our team have the drive and determination to get this done for it's estimated time of release in Q1 of 2013.
Our team has came a good way since taking over, we now consist of about 8 Members. There positions are shown bellow:
Myself - Project Leader/ Level Designer.
TheSkyte - Project Manager/ Level Designer.
Derrick - Level Designer.
Vertex - Environmental artist/ Level Designer.
Kairas - Lead Graphical Artist.
Pinecleandog - Programmer/ Level Designer.
ApexBeats - Music.
As many of you may have seen on our ModDB page, we started a 'studio' called "Fusion Studios" and that is who we are at the moment, developing Global Meltdown for you guys!
You may also have noticed the images on the ModDB page of some early Level Design work, though the bar at the top say's 5% for level design it is no where near that. Same applies to the coding part, the image is just a rough estimate.
These is the image's featured on the main page at the moment.
We also have a Music Artist by the name of ApexBeats assisting us with some music, just now we are using his track "Nova" for the mod. This could change at any time from now to the release of the Mod.
The track can be found here:
Moddb.com
We also still have some space on our team! So if you wish to help and think you are good enough then hit me up a PM with some previous work or proof that you would fit that position. The position's available are as followed:
- 3D Modeller
- 3D Animator
- 3D Rigger
- Voice Actors
- Story-Line Developer
- Coder (Ingame/Scripted sequences)
We just like to also take a moment to thank you! The ModDB community and the people following the Mod. Without you we would have no one to make the Mod for, you guy's help us stay motivated and that and we appreciate it fully as a team. You guy's are a just as big a part of our team as the actual developers are!
Thank-you, and we'll get some more content and updates though-out July 2012.

So this is just a single player FPS game then?
For now, yes.
i will track this from today on, and although you have just started with this, it does look very interesting!
I do have to say that you do need quit a lot of members that you don't have yet, please know that it is very hard to find all those coders, riggers, animators and modelers that are any good, and are able to really commit themselves for a year or more to your project.
We see it over and over again, that a mod dies because it can't find all the developers that it needs.
Maybe you should consider scaling down your mod idea so you don't need all those other developers. I know, this hurts like hell, but in the end it will make that you really can create your mod and release it.
i wish you success,
a fellow source mapper/modder,
Leon
Well said Leon, though for what we have planned we will need those members. I am willing to work full out with or without the team to try and get good enough stuff for people to actually want to join us, that's how many mods work.. they produce great stuff and people in return want to end up helping that team.
I want those awesome looking glass materials!
You are ofcourse right Antec_01, problem is that a whole lot of those teammember are only enthusiast for a small time and then leave the team again, or just don't make assets anymore.
But, ofcourse do i hope that what you can already produce is so good that you indeed will get all those team members.
don't know if you already have placed jobadds for these positions on the moddb job add! forum, if not then i suggest you do because there a lot of these developers will look for positions.
much success and i will keep tracking!
