SCENARIO
In "Get a Life" you embody Alexander Zemlinsky, a subway technician suffering from leukaemia.
Alex is not, unlike the protagonists in most games, an invincible super-soldier. But you wouldn't call him normal either, because there is something in his past that connects him with the events that are about to happen in the course of the story (we want to keep the suspense, so nothing more on that...). "Get a Life" will feature different environment settings presented in more than 24 maps, all of them connected to the scenario of the mod. GaL will offer about 11 hours of pure gameplay pleasure.

Long time no see long time no say!
We didn't give you any news for a long time, those who impatiently wait for the mod are certainly aware of that. But don't worry, it does not mean that we stopped working!
We just preferred concentrating on the development, leaving the communication aside.
Good news for addicted fans, the mod is almost finished! For few weeks now, the dev-team reached the step of the beta tests, and works on fixing miscellaneous bugs, to release a mod as perfect as possible.
Nevertheless, the critical point of the development concerns the english voices for the mod, that's why we are looking for english voice-actors! If you are interested and motivated, please contact us on our forum or by e-mail! English voices are what we need to finish the mod. Currently the french version is the only one which is close to be done.

ok, To sum this up... crap
Normally I'd leap at any mod including the dark and zombies, but this fails.
the game mechanic of "Turn flashlight off to be able to shoot" cripples it.
I was enjoying things (albeit confusedly) until it came to the dark sections. I'd like to be able to at least hit the damn enemies with the flashlight on, but noooo, I have to look, change weapon, guess, realize I had the grenades out because of using the mouse wheel to switch to the first available weapon (NOT FOR ENCLOSED SPACES PLZ), run, fire wildly with another less suicidal weapon, realize the target has moved, repeat and move onto the next in-the-dark battle. Give me Gordon's flashlight and I might just enjoy this mod.
Seems they were going for Doom 3 style combat.
Also many of the textures were taken from Counter Strike:Source, which IMO makes this just another average mod.
I have completed the mod now...
But i only found 12 weapons.
There is 13 weapons?
The last one is a bonus one, which is available from the goodies section
I have read it now...
It say "13 weapons and 3 with add-ons"
Then i only found 11 weapons lol, and no screens of all weapons...
strange...
i am stuck in the game. after i gotten through a room full of electricity i the cargo ship i cant find the way. please help.

dont get me wrong, but some of this mod needs improvement - i have gotten up to the final boss - how the hell am i supposed to beat him? i got so frustrated after an hour of walking around and checking the entire area for how to get through that i used noclip and still couldnt find out what the hell i was supposed to do.
one glitch i spotted early in the game was if you have the flashlight on and go to the next level where you wake up from the coma, the flashlight stays on even though you havent got it.
i am focusing on the negative aspects though, positively this is one of the most unique mods/games i have ever played - although many of you say you dont like the health system, i would have to admit that i do like it. its far better than having the patheticly unrealistic health bar you find in all other games. i definitely rate this mod 9.5/10 and i reckon with a few improvements it could go down as one of the best source mods ever made.
back to the negative, the levels are too long, there are far to many unanswered questions and the lack of direction really started to piss me off.
however, as a fellow mod maker i understand exactly how it feels to have your work critisised by the majority of players so take my critisism as advice rather than an insult to your work.
well, this mod is for sure for them who like to be bullet proff killers.
some of the things which anoys me, would probably be the first contact where yo get 3 waves, all in all that wassn't too dificult , and the lose of blood was pretty good too.
but then, it fells like you are foever chased and as you move on to the next, yo got 2 men, going by them you meet 5, killoing them will make another 3 or 4 men. and if you kill them and stay in the area there comes even more. and i was like omfg, when do this give me a beak cause i gotta find the path to move on.
ad since these weapons are invented with huge deacuracity. its like trying to get a headshot with a m246 , on longer distance i cna pull off 2 magazines with the sight on a person and crunching and actually useing burst.
somethimes when you use bullettime and see you will get a head shot i even shoot 5 more bullets to be secure.
a bit futher on from that i chose to drop the mod. i don't really know, perhaps the felling of, goch this area agin ?! or that getting a health kit spawns 12 extra enemys or that the meaning of that attack at all was pretty screwed.
Is english not your first language because I couldn't understand what you were trying to get at.
