It's been a while since our last update, so I wanted to give you all a quick rundown on the mod's status. Currently, we have a medium sized staff, and are always looking for additional artists (modelers, texturers, etc). We are ready to start putting our art ingame and coding the factions and gameplay, but due to mod limitations set by Blizzard and, we can't do that right now.

However, when the Mod SDK is released and Blizzard allows mods to have a much larger file size, we can begin to code our units ingame and work on getting you guys a beta.

With that said, I'd like to introduce the newest member of our staff, David Radford. David is a professional freelance artist with a background in creating Star Wars themed art, so he is an extremely valuable addition and we love his interaction and output. Here is his first piece of work, a Work-In-Progress sculpt of Saesee Tinn!

(Character sculpts are used for cinematic cutscenes, trailers, and normal, specular, and displacement maps).

Additionally, we'd like to show you a render of the AT-TE, modeled by staffer Dr. Nick.

TiJil has made most of the models shown here, and I have textured most of them. Dr. Nick modeled and skinned the LAAT, in addition to texturing most of the Super Battle Droid.

Looks very good Windu. I just hope that Blizzard allow modding of SC2. SC1 was a true nightmare.......

From what we've heard, SC2 is based off of the WC3 engine, which I've been told was great for modding. All in all, I think that it'll be a great platform for any mod, especially a SW mod.

We plan to release this mod like a normal TC - but we have many other options in addition to that. We could make FPS-like missions, where you play as Grievous with a couple MagnaGuards and have to kill the Clones and Obi-wan on Utapau, or you could play as Anakin and storm the Temple. No other game can do that!

Yeah, I saw that on a video showing off the SC2 map editor! That would be so, so, so AWESOME!

Those levels could be like a mix of Star Craft and Battlefront. :P

Right now we are making all of the models, textures, and animations for the mod. We figure if we get a head start on that, we can minimize the time that people have to wait for the mod once the game is released.

If we get most of the art done before the game is even released, then we can bring you guys a mod release even more quickly, and focus on coding, in-game balance, and fun missions.
