My team, jkberna and Djodar, my various esteemed collaborators such as Siber and Avatar II of the HW@ mod, and myself are proud to bring you the Galactic Council Mod, a bold project intended to show you just what really was behind those hyperspace gates at the end of the original Homeworld. So far there are three totally new races on the drawing board-- two totally original new races-- the Czalkir and the DR1, and another based off of actual Relic concept art that has come to be called the Lizaanj.
The lizaanj cloaked Bomber.
Its huge
It's lovely...
...cloaked doesn't have a c in it...
Team colors, yay. Now we just need secondary team stripe :P
---unless the black/grey camoflauge is one team color, and the red is also a team color---
That bit is going to be tricky, becasue i had intended for the stripes to be team color, but now with my new units that use diferent colors i just don't know. Thank's for the english lesson :)
I wonder if it's possible to have a layer on top of the team colors layer that is partially transparent, but still has some color to it. Say this new layer is painted yellow, then team color is red and stipe color is blue. Wherever the new (yellow) layer is over the team color, you will see orange, and wherever the new layer is over the stripe color, you will see green. This would allow four team colors, but two would always only be partially changeable.
Or if Homeworld 2 won't handle another layer, perhaps it would be possible to make team color or stripe more transparent than normal, and then on the texture file, you could paint a color (again, let's say yellow) and you could have the same effect of four team colors, where two are only partially changeable.
I don't know if GCM would want to use that if it could be done, but I'm more interested in if it indeed CAN be done.
Smacks head... duh cloaked has a c in it... but not two c's.
=/
Now I made myself look like an idiot.
I have no idea, i just model and texture, you should ask someone who understnds all that.
(I couldn't help thinking; 'cloaca' when I read that, hahaha) :P
Nice.
