So far there are three totally new races on the drawing board-- two totally original new races-- the Czalkir and the DR1, and another based off of actual Relic concept art that has come to be called the Lizaanj.

Description
The Lizaanj Capture corvette, uses a reeforced version of the miner for capturing enemy ships.
It fires a EMP atthe target, then uses powerfull magnetic clamps and with overboosted engines hauls the ship away...
You just mentioned this and I must say, it looks pretty damn good. The thing in front, is that the magnetic clamp? I really like the idea... hmm... you could even get it to glow blue ingame like there's a field around it (was thinking of this for my raiders).
Now that would look wonderful!
yes, its the clamp, and that's a good idea, but it's up to the hodders, i just model and texture. A had the model finished, but because of what we said on the forum i decided to post it.
I remain very hopeful that I can pull-off the magnetic field animation from HW1 for this clamp; it's a very high priority feature of this ship in my book.
So this is a return of the salvage corvette!?
I'd be really interested to hear if that works. I've thought about it myself but never found a way to script it efficiently.
I think so i'm not a scriper but people on the forum said its possible...
lol the bottom right side view looks a little like the taiidan salvage corvette :)
It looks like something Kids and Teens would put together in the Junk Yard honestly but impressive :)
