Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.

Very nice video but for the future i suggest you turn off the in game sound and leave only the music. It was kinda hard to hear your voice with all that shooting.

Also, back when the demo came out several players in fighters were pressing W,A,S,D rapidly and what that did is basically make then invulnerable. You couldn't hit them at all. If you aim in the middle you can't hit them, if you try and follow the red cross you also couldn't hit them because they were moving too fast. Is it possible to fix that if you didn't already(i'm not sure coz i didn't play in a long time).

Thanks and keep up the good work, you already got my vote.

Hmm...can't say I had a similar problem. I turned down the sound of the weapons quite a bit, but sorry if you're still having difficulty making it out.

As for the concern you're speaking to, strafing has been largely removed from the starfighter combat.

YES. just the good old fly with mouse. I hate that nullshit in Discovery mod when they fly with Z how have they called it? Now Newbys have now a good chance to stay alive in PvP.

Uh I have a question i asked u someday on YT if it's possible that the Turrets from Capital ships can Auto attack things. U answered with no. Now i want to know. is it possible to change the Turret into a NPC with a key combination? Like SHIFT + LEFT MOUSE (on the target) and than it handles like an NPC? I only want to now. Is this possible? Is it possible to change things to NPCs?

Sadly, no. I don't think it would be feasible, sadly.

Yeah u can use it with...ur which key....ehmm "T" System the last thing in ur video. That one with targeting one but following another guy. When u can make it that turrets can auto attack ships than u can use this system to attack more than just one enemy. THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME. Do understand what i mean?

Description

Moddb.com

After the great work Sizer and his group did showcasing some of the new elements of the mod we wanted to show off, I thought I'd make a development video actually discussing what some of these features are. It's been quite a few months since we released the demo and since then we've been actively working implementing your comments and suggestions into the development process.

This video will detail just some of these additions. I will speak directly regarding player dockable crafts, match speed feature, missile lock feature, new HUD, new tracking features as well as discuss briefly the changes we made to starfighter dynamics.

It's a long video but there's a lot to talk about!!!

If you like what you see, please give us a vote here: Moddb.com
