Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.

Beautiful ships, many improvements, new gun effects, explosions etc etc. Everything so far is what perhaps many of us want to have in gameplay. But in every video of ToW i see battles in space only with one sun and that's it. It's boring and empty and those cool things you've created will tire quickly. I hope you are not showing everything and there will be a lot of surprises ;]

Those are just our prototype combat systems. They're designed to be simple :) I've been looking to make a video of the 23 systems we have had designed by Oma. They're over 1200km in diameter, with many planets and moons (sometimes over 50 moons within a system). When I get a chance, I'll try to take a cinematic video for everyone to see.

Thanks for the input, though.

Late 2009, maybe early 2010. Depends when we feel ready to release it.

It looks great well done, the only thing I did not care for was all the little light going past the ships when you where flying around them. they where going the wrong way if it was to make it look like the where moving. It just took away from the feel of the ships. Would be better to have the stars in one place and the ship move past them. If it can be done. thank you

If those were supposed to be stars, then the universe would have collapsed.
