Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.

Description

I've spent the good part of the morning tweaking things within Coruscant. And, I was quite pleased with what I was seeing. So much so, I decided to make a quick Development video of what is actually taking place in 2.0. The first part of the video is me showing some effects I did, as well as the new scaling of things.

As the video goes, you get to see all the incredible stuff Dev did. I have to give a huge thanks to him, since his work, coding and everything else is truly genius. I've learned so much from him and going through his code that is such a great honour to have him on our development team.

Anyways, enough of the mushy stuff :D The video showcases some of the neat things within the mod now. Please note that the effects are only going to get better from here - engines, explosions, fuses...you name it. We got ideas and great people working on giving everyone the best Star Wars experience possible!

In respect to weapons, we have Aran/Baron working on weapon development. Baron with more of the theory and Aran incorporating his coding skills and experience. I'm really excited to see what they're going to come up with visually as well as gameplay wise.

Zaxx is surely going to amaze us with his awesome bases/texturing/modelling skills.

Templar/Skyblazer are at work increasing the sexiness of all the textures.

OF is learning how to do some hitboxes and, I think, is going to model a bit for us - since he is an architect after all.

Viper is going to be improving FL Hook to really suit our server. He continues to work on it for 18.31, and I'm hoping we can get many new and great things by the time 2.0 comes out.

Marv is going to help me working on some of the base code. Since it's such a BS/and time consuming part of modding.

As for me, I'm going to start putting more NPCs into the meshwork. A-wing/Tie Advanced are next on the list. After that, I'll be putting the MC40/MC80 in. These should probably take me about a day or so to get in an
