Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.
This is the latest of the ongoing development at Freeworlds: Tides of War. This video encompasses many hours of labour and shows just a glimpse of the epic battles that will await all players. We hope you enjoy watching this video as much as we loved filming it.

Got My vote! This is defiantly bringing me back to freworlds. Ah i remember the old days of 1.66, lol. GREAT MOD. I look forward to when you release something(I noticed the release has changed to TBD instead of March 2010. Hope you guys aren't to far behind, lol. Well good luck, and keep up the good work.
Ya, I changed it to TBD because we're adding more content. As a result, it takes more time. However, as you can see, the mod is progressing along well :)

Well i have to admit that Joe_ker and i love it ! It's impressive. Most impressive ! Would also like to see "The Battle of Endor", "The Battle over Corruscant", and other such reguler canon book and Clone War Battles as well. Man i wish i knew computer tech stuff just to be able to help you guys out. If i only knew how but you can bet your bottom dollar that i'll enjoy your wonderful work of art that all of you involved have worked so feverishly on. Also if i can get my third computer working, i'll have three in a wing here in my room. From the disabled singer of "Slam Corps" saying " You Guy's ROCK" !

Awesome vid. I wasn't sure about the mission system idea, but wow this really brings home how cool and fun (and team oriented) it will be.
As a side note, they could **visually** benefit from starting closer together, if that's even possible with how AI spawns. In the movies (as you know) the capital ships for each faction were usually pretty close together, allowing fighter battles to slalom in between them. I think that would create a real rush of adrenaline for the crazy pilot willing to engage at close range lol.
I have concerns about the amount of lag in this video.
