Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.
This is a brief demonstration of our work-in-progress carrier and NPC command & control features. Finer points of implementation remain to be completed but the basic groundwork is mostly done, so please look forward to even more awesome gameplay in the FW:ToW future!
NPCs may or may not have been harmed in the making of this movie.

Beginning to understand what's taking so long, you're all full of surprises right now aren't you! You must have to limit the number of drones somehow though I imagine, otherwise a few player carriers could cause mayhem with server load?
Surprisingly, NPCs spawned in such a manner aren't very taxing. I ran tests on them years ago and came off pleasantly surprised. I believe that, since they are not handled by the game's main NPC spawning routines, they do not require as much overhead. I was able to spawn over a hundred of them in a small area on a server with 20 people and the lag, while not zero, was still bearable.
But yes, we are planning on a fairly interesting way of restricting their use so that it feels both balanced and interesting ;)
Amazing if want to fight with a big Cap ship and u are scared by Fighter( cause NPC fighter don't die if they fly in u. (Do u fixed that big Problem?)) so u can spawn some fighters. HELL YA TACTICAL SYSTEMS

I hope the NPC fighter can handle with Players. now after u removed the drift abillity it's harder to get away from enemy fire.
sorry that i "spam" so much, but i can't believe that it's impossible to make turrets autoaiming. U have done things with Freelancer so much beautiful things that i can't believe u say this Auto turret thing is impossible.
We said the contrary: that auto-turrets ARE possible.
Will you be able to order them to defend targets as well as attack them, and can you order them to return to the carrier while they are in combat?
