THIS MOD WILL BE MULTIPLAYER ONLY. WE WILL PROVIDE BASIC SERVER CONTENT TO RUN A LOCAL SERVER FROM YOUR COMPUTER AT HOME. THIS IS EXTREMELY SIMILAR IN FUNCTION AS OPEN SINGLEPLAYER FREELANCER. WE HAVE PROVIDED A TUTORIAL TO EXPLAIN TO YOU HOW TO START YOUR SERVER AT HOME COMPUTER AND HOW EASY IT WILL BE TO USE: here

ello Freeworlders! Friday the 3rd of May Saturday May 4th, starting ~4PM GMT, there will be a massive battle on the FW:ToW Demo server! At least two fleets of fighters, bombers, capital ships and much more will be duking it out against eachother. You can help decide who'll win!
Expierence the thrill of dogfighting or the tactical precision manouvres of capital ship combat!
Money will be freely provided before the event starts, so you'll have your pick of any ship in the demo.

Please be aware that the server will be wiped beforehand, as we'll be providing free monies prior to the event!

After the event there'll be an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with new Dev leader Sizer on teamspeak. He'll answer any questions you have about the mod and it's current development state.

I downloaded it and then I wondered what to do for half an hour of google research... hey, I don't need a readme, I'm telepathic. I don't need to know, that I need other tools just to use this mod... I'm telepathic... then I started single player and I couldn't even start into space, because my ship, which just had landed in front of my eyes "does not have an engine"??
Seriously guys. There are mods, which are actually fun to play and easy to install...
You know, if you would check the forums, they have a very detailed and extremely thought out tutorial on how to make the mod work. Give it another chance and check it out.

Well, you're supposed to use Freelancer Mod Mangers like many other Freelancer mods use. It's a fairly easy program that you can get anywhere. As for SP, we haven't supported it for over 2 yrs. However, we are incorporating the fix for it within our next patch. The fix can be found on our forums, if you're curious. Here, so you don't strain your telepathic ability ;)

You guys have my vote, however it would be nice to see a little more love shown towards a single player feature.
As for the 2.0 progress I am really liking what I am seeing, the kuat system truly looks amazing.

Maybe for the expansion patches. But for now, we have a very set shiplist. Sorry mate.
Thumbs up (i only have two to give ;)) I have never seen such an amazing and huge base. Well done at the mod creation team. I tend to try out this mod some when! Hell there are so much Freelancer mods which are also great looking and it amuses me to see this...
My deepest respect to the mod authors - its overwhelming work to finish such mods... keep on going - keep FL alive!
Thanks for the kudos, mate. We all appreciate it. I think the amazing mod progress in FL has been primarily in part due to the great community spirit housed at "The Starport" (TSP). It's just a great site where all the FL mod community members can get together to share ideas/thoughts and methods to code. FW:ToW owes TSP a great deal. Also, you can see some of the other FANTASTIC mods out there: Shattered Worlds, War Torn, FLAK 88, Itano Circus, Crossfire, Discovery, etc.
Anywho, thanks again for the post and the support. We all appreciate it greatly and I cannot wait to show the world what FW:ToW has in store - as I'm sure Crossfire 1.8 feels too.
