Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.

I know the feeling, and have seen you mention the eastern time release multiple times. Some people need to pay attention!

PS I have never played freelancer on a server before, will people be able to kill me whenever just because they can? I hate it when people do that.....

Freelancer isn't a carebear MMO! (I kid I kid)
If you play by the rules (of faction on which territory you will be), they won't, as they would have no reason to do so.
I know I should but I dont read the rules much, I just try to keep to myself, go about my own business and dont attack other people. Unless of course they shoot at me first :p
The demo will be fairly free for all. But the final version will be faction based, so if you're in any group at all, even civilians, you have enemies. And they're likely to try and kill you. This is not a safe universe.
and that is why I like to play offline :p maybe they should develop a security system like EVE online where some planets that have high security have Invincible NPC's that come after you if you attack a player, but the outer rim planets are a free for all. Just a suggestion....
Thats counter intuitive to the way we've set it up. There'll be safer parts of the universe, the core systems are well defended, but its still not a safe universe.
