Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.
Not much to change on this one, FriendlyFire already did a wonderful job with it.
Still wanted to render it out just because it looks so darn cool :D
-Hakre1
-original model/diffuse: Star Wars Galaxies
-mesh/diffuse/normal/specular modifications: FriendlyFire
this makes the ISD look even more formidable
what 3d modeling program do you use?
Personally I prefer Blender, and that's what was used for this and all my renders.
I believe FriendlyFire used Max for the mesh changes.
do any of the ship models in game exceed 26000 polys by any chance?
Several do. This particular ISD is 40k polys (down from the original 140k)
please make an optional full polygon star destroyer
i loved the old one :(
There was some discussion on that subject, one of the ideas was to release a high-res model pack add-on that users with more powerful computers could install.
That would be fantastic, if I may say so!
please do so!
Gotta think of performance overall though! lol.
As if ISD's didn't look scary enough, now you've gone and added fancy lighting and texturing to it. I need a new pair of pants.
Beautiful, I do love your ISD. Your big render of that was my desktop for a while.
:)
